Two nice pieces. That would be a hard choice to make. Thanks for the video.

Would have loved to see the ronin commander in this, but I get that its a steel vs steel comparison

I've been shooting 1911's too long to not go with the more traditional garrison. Shy of front strap checkering and ultra thin plain black checkered grips(my go to on all my 1911"s) I don't think I'd change a thing. I would much prefer nitro carburizing on carbon steel. Or even satin nickel for that matter. I'm just no lover of stainless (although I have several). Things I don't like on the emissary, I hate G10 grips, I don't like either the front strap or mainspring texture. I hate the slide profile, I don't like the sights, I don't like the squared trigger guard ( I liked Swenson's profile just fine) I don't like the flat trigger(I prefer a long curved 3 hole) I've always been a big fan of Springfield Armory 1911's. I thought the Range Officer models were the best bargain in a production 1911. I guess the Garrison is pretty close. I wish Springfield would give us one of the hot 9mm rounds like 9x23, .357 SIG, 9x25 Dillion or even just a .38 super in something that's not like a GI model. Something like the Garrison.

Why does it have to be a battle? One would think they are all on the same team, right?

Springfields suck! All of them. I have bought 3 prodigys. Not because I love the pistol. The first one didn't run right out of the box. It wouldn't go into the battery, wouldn't eject, kept stopping on the disconnector, would chamber a round. Sent that pistol back to Springfield. Ended up getting rid of it after it came back from them 4 months later. Sold it cause I didn't trust it for carry. Bought a cz shadow 2 compact but wanted a 2011 so I got rid of the CZ and got another prodigy. That one had the same problem sent it back then. Got it back traded it for a Girsan Witness it was better to the prodigy but couldn't get a light to fit or holster so I sold it got another and on this last one the right side safety was broken out the box. Never left the store showed it to the employee and said I needed to send it back to Springfield. I'm like no so i took it to my gunsmith. In the meantime bought a trp full rail and it had the same problem. Right out the box the right side safety was broken didn't work sent that one to my gunsmith. I have a Bul Armory EDC pro on order to replace the prodigy. I will never ever buy anything made by Springfield. Their 1911 aren't even made here they're just assembled here. Made in Brazil.
