- I found this SO interesting to research and, if you did too, I would recommend you looking into the history of postmarks too (postmarks were originally called Bishop Marks and were introduced as a way to see if letters were delayed!). I wanted to include it in this video but I thought it would make more sense just to stick to stamps!

It's crazy how I always just assumed collecting stamps was dull and boring well because that's what people around me thought/said. And after watching this video I am actually really excited about stamps lol!

The question is often asked, "Why is the postal system offices so poorly staffed?" There are other services, DHL, FedEx, UPS."
The answer is, "The postal system is the best bargain of them all! Demand clearly outstrips supply!"
I feel the USPS is the best service, the best bargain & I am willing to put up with the occasional task of going into the office.
I have only had one problem which was never resolved. Stamps by mail which were never delivered, 13 years ago!
I collect stamps!
Very good ypur infromation
Very good your this infromation
Great video 👍🏽 Your video popped up because my husband and I collect stamps, and we follow the CZcams channel Exploring Stamps, which you might find interesting ☺️
This still happens in Panama 🇵🇦 they pay for what they receive and they even open up your boxes to see the value of the mail to pay it...
Can you maybe put your videos in playlists organized by subject? That would be very helpful!
its a Scottish thistle at the end :)
She's got to be one of the cutest nerds on the web 🙂
This is really interesting because elected officials in the US still have the franking privilege!

Hello everybody. I started to collect self-adhesive postal stamps, does anybody know the way how to collect single stamps in albums in "mint" condition? I founded for myself way that allow You to examine perforation - put stamp to a plastic film, but it is automatically make stamp "used".
💛💛💛💛
You can also send letters for free to any country under UPU :D
If stamps weren't invented until 1840, what was going in the American Revolution when there was the Stamp Act taxing stamps and angering colonists? Was that referring to something else?
1:46 actually the postal service started by Genghis Khan empire, who even pioneer the early pony express.
