- This is a step by step of how to do a Titan swap on a Nissan Frontier or Xterra. I'm not an expert on this so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Feel free to comment if you see that I did anything wrong or have better/easier methods to do any of it.

Awesome video man, great job!! We needed this in the community, for sure.
Great video (tutorial). I can understand everything even if I don't speak English. I have a Nissan Xterra in Russia. So this is very helpful video for me.
Awesome video buddy, well done!!!!!! All the info for a swap needed!
This video need more views!! Thumbs Up dude!!
AMAZING!!! Thanks so much for posting!!
Great DIY vid! It answered a lot of my questions. Did you post the titan diff install vid?
Awesome tutorial! Don't have the money for a full swap now, but what should I start with? Also, I recently bought PRG 2" coil spacers.. Can I install w/o having to disconnect anything besides the coilovers? Not many peopl as helpful as you. Keep it up!
Great JOB!
Nice tutorial man can tell you're not a professional but looks like you know what you're doing here though
my friend wants to do the swap but wants to keep his upper arms. they are frontier total chaos arms. will it work with just the titan lowers?
Can you put the titan breaks on the frontier or are they the same?
Wow, thanks for this! Are you on Club Frontier?
will this work in 2wd?
Thanks!
Hey is this video of a 4wd or a 2wd?
Can you still get into factory alignment specs with oem upper control arms from the titan??
It might be more difficult since they are not adjustable. The PRG arms are adjustable and also will give you a bit more travel than stock titan arms.
Recently bought a frontier and saw your video which was really good btw, and I want know what make or brand coilovers are you using? Also my truck is a 2012 and want know what year parts do I need to get (referring to the lower control arms)?
This was a 2012 truck and in that video I was using 2.0 radflo's and right now I'm using 2.0 Sway-a-ways. They are both excellent. I don't think the year matters for the lower arms since the Titan platform has not changed since it's initial release as far as I know.
freddy rodriguez From what I have read through some frontier forums, the suspension on the frontier has been the same since '05 so I am assuming it is near the same with the titan.
What did you do for the back axle? Just wheels spacers?
Yeah wheel spacers, although this is just for looks. I'm thinking of taking them out to reduce the track width on the rear, which is sometimes a problem when negotiating narrow obstacles offroad.
hey man check out my fronty, its nothing crazy but its getting to where i want to be. i do daily updates next should be suspention. either thinking radolfs or kinds
so what about the axles? can you just buy titan axles shafts? and do they just plug into the Frontier Diff?
No, if you have the stock frontier R-180 diff you have to use frontier axles and buy the kit to extend them. If you want to use titan axles you have to have the Titan M205 diff.
What about the drive line vibration? did you have to use shims ? or did you get a new rear drive shaft ?
MrVincey85 This was a Frontier, which typically does not suffer from driveline vibrations. On an XTerrra you might want to put shims if the vibrations are bad enough to bother you, but I've been in lifted XTerras without shims where the vibrations are hardly noticeable.
Daniel Tabuenca Thank for the clarification.
Max tire size with titan swap on xterra?
without any body lift or additional mods you can put 33s.
+TheXJthatCould I have 34" tires on my X with only a 2" lift no titan swap
Hi, can you tell me the link of where you bougth this UCA?
www.prgproducts.com/shop/product/prg_titan_upper_control_arms/
But this UCA fit to Nissan Frontier? Because this UCA is for Nissan Tittan or both use the same UCA?
That is a titan arm, it will fit frontier if you do the titan swap that is in this video. Otherwise you can buy the frontier version if you are not swapping out the rest of your suspension.
What is the point of this 'swap' ?
The point is to enable more suspension travel due to the longer arms. This allows you to be able to lift the truck more without having coil bucket contact and also without making the ride awful.
Coil bucket contact?
When the arms are shorter the arms will hit and rest on top of the coil bucket (the top part where the shock attaches) thus preventing the wheel from traveling further down. If the arms are longer they they can travel further down before they hit the coil bucket.
