    I don't have an ice cream maker. But, I use pretty much the same recipe that John is using, but I freeze the liquid in ice cube trays. Then whenever I want ice cream I use the vitamix again to blend the cubes into smooth frozen ice cream. Works for me . . . and the result is really nice.

      Yeah, and I'm thinking about just using Frozen coconuts and bananas together. Although I do like the dates idea. And certainly the vanilla, which I have on hand. However, I'm having a hard time finding dates.

    There is NO ice cream at any store, Organic or not that does not give me a headache. This homemade ice cream is WORTH IT! Full of vitamins, minerals and nutrients and delicious! Observe everyone going down the ice cream aisle at the store… most people can’t even walk, they are riding on those hoverounds because of the carrageenan that causes arthritis, antifreeze, etc… NO THANK YOU! I’ll make the fresh vitamin version!

      Oh my gosh, no, I get MSG Neurotoxin Poisoning, it can be listed under the ingredient: Natural Flavoring”. My reaction is an unbearable migraine with vomiting so bad I have to go to the hospital. Wayyyy beyond brain freeze from the store bought ice cream. The propylene glycol (antifreeze) in regular ice creams isn’t good for anybody either and it is lethal to animals. This healthy ice cream is non toxic AND vitamin, mineral and enzyme rich! Stick with the healthy stuff!!!

    Much easier way to extract the coconut meat: get the coconut, empty it of coconut water by boring through its soft eye with a screwdriver tapped with a mallet, then place it in the freezer for an hour or so. Afterwards, tap round its equator with a small hammer until a hairline crack appears around it. Then, with the help of the hammer, 'peel' the coconut shell off like peeling a hard boiled egg.. The meat of the coconut should then be left behind, ready to chop up, with minimal effort.

      vistagraphsnet : Brittany from THE VEGAN SOLUTION has a few recipes using frozen bananas & a food processor (sometimes she adds carob, other times spirulina, from time-to-time frozen berries). You’re right. There are easier recipes that don’t require us to have major kitchen appliances with a lot of time on our hands.🌱😊 HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020! • @kfl611
      @kfl611 Před rokem

      I have an older machine that has a compressor. I don't chill anything first. I figured the more it churned the more it would break up any ice crystals. I just pour in my mix at room temp. and turn on the machine. It does not take that long, maybe 20 to 30 minutes. I have used the old fashioned crank ice cream maker with ice and salt - attached to my Kitchen aid mixer and that only took like 15 minutes.

    I definitely have found a couple brands that are not quite as monoglutamate and all that stuff but you could take an hour in the store finding those brands are you could take an hour at home making it! I actually really like cooking so I'll definitely make it thanks for sharing! there is also something to be said for the fact that if you got some friends together to make it it may not be as tedious or if one person made it and sold it to other people maybe not with your exact recipe and less you'd allow them to but still! there's also something I personally find very special about making your own food would even if it is a long tedious task it gets you more connected with it I personally don't live where there is much Farms you have over to our drive to even get to organic farm to be on the land and as much as I like to spend time in my local produce actions and farmers markets you are next to other things that you don't really want to be consuming such as the meat section or the dairy section which can be Temptation for a lot of people who are just starting out so there's also the EMS and the amazing amount of letting you know that if you're into that stuff not being there so I find you can get a good bond with the energy of the food by spending time doing things just like this that do take a little bit more time because then you're dealing with and handling in your home the items that you are not really having access to otherwise me personally anyway
