  • This is just a video of my work in progress. The laptop has been a long time in the making and so I've decided to make a video of what I've done so far. As soon as I finish it I will make a new video.

    That is a very sharp and clean build, I like what you did for the HDMI cable routing. What battery management system are you using?

      I used a power bank board that i bought from aliexpress. It is not that good (it works well as a power bank but not good for my use case, you can not charge and use the battery at the same time with this circuit board) i am still trying different types of battery management circuits. Hopefully i will get some time to post some updates on this project.

    how about building a MediaTek SOC based Chromebook that has SSD and a 1080p IPS grade touchscreen ?? would love to see such a build...as big manufacturers aren't realising the potential of Chrome OS.

    • @diytech2001

      It is a good ideea. I have installed chromium OS an Fyde OS on this raspberry pi laptop and it runs quite good (it has SSD, 1080p and touchscreen). I am currently still working on finishing this laptop but time is an issue for me. Maybe after I finish this one i will build another. When it comes to manufacturers and Chrome OS i believe the issue is more with users that are not so keen on moving to another platform. Most people I know won't try another OS since they got used to Windows or Mac OS.

      Hi, I do not have the measurements for it. This project is still ongoing and what you can see in this video is not the final product. I have done many changes to it. Hopefully I will finish it soon and post a video about it. Sadly I just did not have the time to record every step but I am making a 3D model of it and I will post a link for the model as soon as it is finished.

    Can we add graphic card in raspberry Pi 4

    • @diytech2001
      @diytech2001  Před 3 lety

      As of right now, there are a few attempts to add graphics card to the pi ( i believe that it was tried on the Compute Module because it has PCI-e Slot) but with no success. I have not tried it myself (I don't have the knowledge). I would love to see this happen.
