klebermeireles.com/anterior-o... Compensatory treatment of class III cases can be extremely difficult, especially in Hyper-Divergent patients with big discrepancies!
🚨 It is very common to see (especially in social media posts) cases like this being treated using TADs in the mandible and retracting the incisors 5, 6, 8 mm or more!😱 😩 The problem is that these patients have extremely narrow symphysis and the incisors are usually already rertoclined. In other words: the bone limits are not being respected! 😡
🚨 The second warning concerns the extraction of premolars only in the lower arch for class III compensation. If the lower third molars are not present, it is quite possible that the upper second molars do not have contact with the lower second molars, which will lead to their continuous extrusion throughout life. 😬😬
Orthodontics will never be just aligning teeth! Correct diagnosis and planning are key to successful treatment!
