I beat 100% of Outer Wilds, for the First Time

- Outer Wilds is a game that I did not think I would enjoy. I've never been a huge reader, and that's kind of the entire driving force behind this game. That being said, this has honestly probably become one of my favorite games of all time. I thought about it for a while and I honestly can say that I think it's perfect.
Unfortunately this is the kind of game you can only play once, so I made sure to savor every moment of it.

This immediately became one of my favorite games of all time the second it was over, and you can only really play it once. Also to all the folks who are saying that I didn't take this seriously enough or pay enough attention to the story, I promise you that this is the most engaged and in love I've ever been with a game! In between cuts of this compilation are dozens of minutes of reading the ship log and trying to put pieces together. It might not look like your playing experience, but I can guarantee that this game means a lot to me now (also I was able to put the full timeline together while editing pretty easily, it's crazy how much of a difference it makes to go back through a second time)

But seriously, take your time, just play the DLC eventually, there's no rush (but don't wait like 6 months; you will forget 80% of it, you'll just vaguely remember, and that's no good). The DLC is packed with as much stuff as the main game (this statement is a bit exaggerated, but you'll never feel like it's lacking anything. There's a LOT of new stuff), and it's great. That's all, stay safe, and don't forget to play the DLC. Bye.
Don't even worry about having played this game "wrong," literally every single Outer Wilds experience is just as valid. Whether you're a Riebeck or a Feldspar, we're all in this universe together
The way you approached the game was really refreshing and makes you stand out from other playthroughs. It also helps that ur funny as shit. Its easy to tell you were engaged and cared about the story and thats all that matters
You need to give us the unedited cut! I love watching people trying to piece things together while staring at the Outer Wilds ship log!

This game isn’t for everyone and that’s ok. But for those that it is for. It’s so great. If I had the chance to play a game for the first time it’s 100% without a doubt Outer Wilds. The atmosphere and music make the overall story through the game seem cozy despite the themes
Absolutely. This game, especially the ending, strikes this beautiful balance between existential fear and a comforting acceptance. In the words of a friend, “the universe is, and we are.”
outer wilds is like rain world but the lore aspect is the progression instead of being entirely optional and i love it

@@birdup1_2 DE is somewhere in my top ten, but dunno where. It’s definitely behind OW, Bloodborne, Signalis, Titanfall 2, and soma, my five favorites. DE might be sixth right after them though
I think this was the most orderly calm, playthrough I've seen of outer wilds (refering purely to the game play lol) you used all the tools the game gave you and figured out everything the way the developers intended lol. Keep making more videos.

By far my favorite playthrough I’ve seen was totally surprised when you posted it. Would love to see the DLC whenever you get time! It has a lot less reading and a lot more white river rafting
I finished this game a couple weeks ago and for the next few nights just sat in front of my tv not knowing what to play next. Nothing will compare. I heard Tunic is a good next step but... there's just something about this game. If I could wipe my brain and play it again I'd do that instead. Excellent video. Never heard of you before but I subscribed and I'll definitely be back. Good shit.
Totally valid, this game sticks with you! If you’ve never played it before, I can highly recommend Hypnospace Outlaw, it has a similar vibe to OW.

Well, not exactly "100%" if you don't count the secret/joke endings and several pieces of dialogue missed that are not counted in the Ship Log. But still, pretty much completed the game in a very thorough manner, well done good sir.
Now you can join the masses of people waiting for the next sacrifice to play this game blind in a video/stream to re-experience with them what it's like to experience the game for the first time. And maybe pick up a couple more secrets and details you may have missed yourself.
the only shame is that it was not possible to achieve other "endings", such as experiments with black and white holes and destroy the structures of space-time, or to spit on everything, take the core and fly away from the explosion of the sun (this would not affect the impression)
The first time I played this, I didn’t speak once and it was probably the most emotional experience I’ve ever had. This is by far the best game I’ve ever played

tell us how it goes when you beat it, and i'm telling you i don't care HOW lost you get, never look up a guide, it's way more rewarding that way. Just remember to refer to the ship log for any loose threads.

If you're a fan of Outer Wilds-type story based timeloop games and indie RPGs, I would love to recommend a game called In Stars And Time! It has fantastic writing, does a really good job of tying the timeloop mechanic into the story, and is extremely rewarding and emotionally compelling. It's my current favorite game, and is a favorite of everyone I've recommended it to.

I was actually one of the people that accidentally stumbled onto the center of ash twin/ash twin project. It was early in my playthrough, before I knew about warp pads. I had no idea what happened-even though I read all the text I was too stupid/bad at reading comprehension to understand what it meant. luckily, that meant I still could play the game normally without ruining the experience at all.
That was a perfect playthrough I loved it! Your encounters with the islands on Giants Deep had me dying!

Got this game for my switch recently. Never finished it. For me, not really my kind of game, but definitely way more entertaining to watch people play it.
When I played this game for the first time I loved it! But then I went into Bramble for the first time and was jumpscared so bad that I immediately closed the game and have not played it since.
