Monaco Grand Prix: First shakedown on the Formula 1 race track - Gerrit's Diary #63

- In today's episode of Gerrit's diary, Nico, one of our technical draftsmen, and Gerrit test the very first bend of the 21-metre-long Formula 1 race track in our Monaco section, which is currently under construction. Therefore a glass fiber board is cut and the flexibility of the circuit board material is carefully examined.
Furthermore, the electronics engineer Björn presents a matrix made of LED strips, which is supposed to create the illusion of moving water.
Last but not least, Gerrit presents the progress of the driving Formula 1 model cars on our proving ground. The two chaotic programmers test a sequence of an accelerating vehicle according to the "trial and error" principle in "slow motion".

The Miniatur Wunderland is the Guinness World Record certified largest model railway layout in the world and Hamburg's No. 1 tourist attraction. More than 20 million visitors from all over the world have already viewed a superlative miniature world in Hamburg's Speicherstadt warehouse district. A unique miniature masterpiece has been created on an area of 1,545 m² in around 990,000 working hours - and it is still growing. It impresses not only with its sophisticated technology but above all with its wealth of detail. More than 289,000 figures have been lovingly staged, cars and ships move through the landscapes, and even airplanes take off every minute at Knuffingen Airport. The Wunderland is a breathtaking miniature cosmos that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world. And this cosmos continues to grow. With the opening of Rio de Janeiro, the first 46 m² of the large South America world have already been inaugurated. In the following years, Patagonia, the rainforest, parts of Central America and the Caribbean will follow. But construction work is also continuing on the European continent. The dwarf state of Monaco and idyllic Provence are already under construction and are scheduled to open in winter 2022 / 2023.

Ich glaub ich hab noch nie das Gesicht von euerm Programmierer Axel gesehen, geschweige denn sein Stimm gehört xD Er wird allmählich eine Legende wie The Stig von Top Gear xD
24 Sekunden im Video, und da wird schon behauptet wir wollten unbedingt was zum anfassen sehen. Also ich halte das ja für ein Gerücht. Ich glaube viele Leute hier würden auch sehr gerne die Theorie sehen :P

hatte leider noch nicht die Gelegenheit für einen Besuch bei euch in der Speicherstadt. Aber ich verfolge euch schon seid ihr das erste mal im Fernsehen erwähnt wurded. Auch hab ich mir alle eure Videos im YT angekuckt. Insbesondere deine Tagebücher. Ich bin extremst fasziniert miti welcher verspieltheit, rafinesse und manchmal auch querdenken Ihr die alltäglichen Modellbauerprobleme so gelöst habt. Meine Glückwunsch an das Team zum erfolg!

Ich weiß immer nicht, ob ich Euch bedauern oder beneiden soll, ob dieser anspruchsvollen Arbeit. Das Fahren des Autos in der zweiten Filmhälfte sind schon fantastisch gleichmäßig aus. Wenn das alles mal läuft, für die Zuschauer wird das fantastisch sein und für Euch ebenfalls, solch ein Erfolgserlebnis tut dann einfach gut.
Im Formel 1 Videospiel ist eine Ideallinie eingezeichnet. Da könntet ihr die her nehmen. Entweder aus entsprechenden YT-Videos raus nehmen, das Spiel selber kaufen, oder beim Entwickler Codemasters anfragen.

Absoluter Traumjob den ihr da habt. Geniale Kreative Leistungen...ich finde die heutige Folge zeigt ganz besonders toll welche unglaublichen Leistungen von euch erbracht werden. Ihr seid das beste Team der Welt, ohne Zweifel^^!!!!! So...und jetzt muss ich meinen Besuch bei euch planen :D LG aus der Pfalz - Bimm ;)

Wahnsinn was Ihr da an Arbeit reinsteckt. Und dass alles "nur " für ein paar fahrende Auto. Wirklich bewundernswert euer Fleiß und Ehrgeiz!
Wollt ihr dann auch F1 Autos bauen aus anderen Zeiten. Ihr könnt dann ja mal für ne Woche einen 2018 Cup oder so fahren und eine andere Woche einen 2004 oder so. Mit den unterschiedlichen Motorengeräuschen wäre das bestimmt interessant
