  • Video from onboard my Freewing F-16 90mm EDF. For some reason the landing gear was not working quite right. After a couple attempts to cycle the gear it finally retracted.

I own 2 Freewings that occasionally do this in either extension or retraction, even after bypassing the blueboard.

FWIW, to clear the problem one usually need only to cycle the switch briefly -flip/flip- and there’s no requirement for the gear to actually go through it’s own cycle.

I bypass and install electric retract controllers. But always cycle fully once before each flight or new battery.

You could put the camera at the cockpit for better experience

Hi. What camera and mount? Just Velcro on each plane?

The camera is a Runcam 4K (the orange one). I use a piece of foam rubber between the camera and the plane and pull a velcro strap tight around it and the nose. On my none foam planes I use Painters tape instead of the strap. It's simple and works very well. The camera has never come loose or fallen off.

    What camera did you use?

I was using the Runcam 4K (orange one). I knew the issue. I started my radio with thr gear switch up. Took a couple cycle to get things in sync again. Wasn't a big deal but interesting to was from onboard vs what you can see on the ground.
