The copper trick works great. They have magnetic holders with copper on them for those hard to reach areas. Keep it up! Helps motivate me to do my datsun!

Nice work!..I started my Z at the same spots. Took a while to get 'my' welds right and used a thicker guage than what was on these floors to help stiffen it all up. Grinding the welds is my biggest pain as it's harder than that Datsun metal so can cut through too easy.
I say the same i.e. get the body in good shape then have more fun on the mechanics.

It's a lot of work, especially to make it look perfect. And definitely very easy to grind through the OEM sheet metal.
Hi. I'm watching this on my laptop. I think you have very good widescreen and sound on your camera. A camera attached to your head also works well. It gives you a good idea of what the job entails. Your floor pan is in the process of changing into a new one. Maybe you changed to a thinner wire when it no longer burned through, or maybe you just adjusted your device. Great job anyway.
Just took a bit of getting the welder dialed in. Sheet metal is finicky. I'm running .030 wire.
