Cheers Terry, followed your video to replace the tank fuel joint. Took me twenty minutes as I knew what to look at through your video.👍

Just finished replacing this hose (using a very different approach) the day before seeing your video. Workshop manuals discourage lifting the front of the tank beyond what the restraining cable limits, so I came at the job from the seat end, by removing the seat height bracket and then the tank completely. The secondary tank to hose fitment and its clamp was the last item to install, aside from testing as you suggest. Alignment of the hose requires attention and perhaps a trial visual test before securing the tank clamp. Took a lot of patience and love. 😂❤

These hoses will split. They should be replaced every few years. Also know that that hose is different, depending on year. (UK) 2002, US 2003 thru 2007, require a different hose than 2008 and later. The difference is the size of the hose coming from the tank. Before trying to remove the lower part of the hose, remove the saddle adjustment bracket. Makes it much easier!

Nice vid. Only thing is you cut out the parts we really wanted to see about your technique of wriggling the hose on and getting the clamps undone/ done up. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, dd

You are filming the wrong way! Rotate the camera. 🤪
