I like how the current climate of wetshaving has allowed the release of passiflora. It's like the drama is behind and we're recognizing it and moving on. I'm glad you enjoy the GOATlander, I wasn't sure because you enjoy blade feel. Reading the comments on this video, I'm glad to see others enjoy it too!

Love the Overlander, funny you posted the Overlander for today. I sent it out to get it gold plated. In fact, the Overlander is so good it sending other razors to BST. Wonderful shave Chris, smooth is the best word to describe the razor. Sneaky efficient too like you describe. Have a Great Shave!

The Overlander is phenomenal! It by far my favorite razor. So smooth no matter what blade I use. Can’t go wrong with it.

Great shave today Chris. I really like the look of all the Karve razors. If and when I expand my collection one of them will be on my list.
I also like B& M soaps. As for the Nacet blades I have also found them to be a good in all my razors.

I love my Overlander. If I could only keep one razor, it would be this one. I tried it with a Gillette Nacet recently and it was shaving perfection!

surprised you didn't find it too mild; I like it a lot and will get a stainless steel version when it comes out; handle is ok but prefer the Christopher Bradley handles; find the shave angle more natural than the Christopher Bradley

Hi Chris, I completely agree with you about Karve razors. The Overlander is an excellent razor (and the Karve CB razor is also outstanding). Also B&M produces some of the best shaving soaps out there. While B&Ms’s scents can be hit or miss, the quality is always there. Looks like the wrist is slowly getting better! I love the fruitiness of Passiflora. It's strong but not cloying. Totally original. Have you tried the A&E Fruit De La Passion or whatever it's called?

Great shave CDB! I've never smelled Passion fruity scent with green notes sounds good to me too. I agree all of barrister & mann's previous soap bases have been great as well. The Overlander was great for me but not perfect for me. I wish they had an open comb version with more blade feel.
Thank you DK. You are probably the first one that I've heard air anything close to a critique of the Overlander and I'm glad to hear it. I was thinking it was 100% for a while. I like it a lot, but I'm also glad to hear that others are freely expressing their thoughts about it.
Nice setup and shave Chris. Catching up on some vids. For me, Omnibus is the best I’ve tried so far(haven’t tried A&E yet but at top of list). I am on a software freeze to use some up. I just received the Karve CB and had my first shave SB D- excellent the best 1st I’ve had on smoothness and efficiency. Just ordered OC C and and a 3” Gladius handle.
Did Chris from Karve say when he will sell just the Overlander head?

The Overlander has become my favourite razor, it's almost impossible to get any irritation from it, it's so we'll considered in its design..
If I have any minor gripes, I don't love the smell of wet brass. Wet brass is also quite a tacky material so it can stick/drag/suction (however you experience it) when there is no obvious lather or residual lather. Minor complaints easily avoided, I find I get to shave over a residual slickness area twice and then it's gone so it's time to relather.
I really enjoy it as well. I don't really notice any drag with brass but some folks do I guess.
I don't have much experience with B&M. I've only tried Leviathan, a scent I liked, but didn't love. It was good quality soap, so I'll most likely try something else from them down the road.
As Far as blades go, I started with a pack of 20 Shark blades, they were fine. I bought 100 Astra platinums for less than $10 bucks (still working on that). I tried a pack of 10 feather blades, which performed well, but not well enough to justify the price. I also tried the Personna blades that came with my Era, but they seemed to cause some irritation.
So Astra has essentially been my go to, and they work pretty well for me. I'd be open to suggestions for similar blades, but It's hard to beat Astra's value.
There's nothing wrong with Astra. I still have a tone of them:)
That B&M soap sounds excellent, isn't that the scent that courted the 'drama' years ago?
It is. I think both companies have released a version of it in recent years now.
Give Gillette Silver Blue blades a try. For me, they are a bit more sharp and a bit more mild than the Astra SP green blades. I use them both. Ymmv of course.
I have used them many times in the past. A very nice blade for sure.
Glad to hear the Nacet blade is working well for you. How would you compare it to the Gillette Platinum?
Great shave Chris. I am going to have to grab the overlander at some point there is noting but accolades for the razor. How does passiflora compare to fruit de La passion from A&e ? Totally different or would owning both of them be redundant? Thanks.
I cannot remember how it compares to be honest Seferton. I'll have to give it a whiff when I get home.
Chris I'm wondering if you have ever used or at least smelled the original Passiflora? If so, does this version come close?

wet nice razor and i think not to bad on the price in the grand scheme of things 👍 b&m stuff is good for me definitely a bit hit and miss on the sents though . got to say looks like you have shed a few pounds brother. looking at the leaf into and now i can see you your neck is looking slimmer 👌
Thanks Paul. I agree with you. I don't love all the B&M scents but when I like them they are quite good. Yes sir, I'm dropping some weight as well. It's all part of the plan to get more healthy this spring and summer.
Nice scrape buddy! The Overlander is outstanding! Just that handle it comes with is not for me. Karve had handle options for the CB, but not the Overlander. Missed opportunity if you ask me.

I'd say around medium. It doesn't have a ton of blade feel but it's efficient. I'd say it feels one lighter side of efficiency but shaves medium.

Excellent shaving. Just a suggestion, you are using new soaps for every shave. Similarly change the aftershave splash, not the same one in all occasions.
It's not necessary for him to change the aftershave splash every time, he's not at home I wouldn't expect him to have access to that many aftershaves.
When I'm away from home I only bring a couple of aftershaves that I'm looking to completely use up. The reason I keep using this one over and over is I'm trying to use it all up:)
True, I don't bring any more than a handful. This one I'm trying to kill.
