Mike had the best kid/adult voice transition ever. They both have their own sound. It’s amazing.
He could sing falsetto and had rich deep lows.....👑
and in 74 it was like both of the voices were together. its honesltly amazing. no voice cracks no nothing.
@@imvellyy Seriously. It's a small window where his voice sounded like this. When you go through puberty as a singer it sucks. His voice never broke though. It's pretty amazing.
@@jasras5003 his voice broke, if you look at concerts at 1972-1973 you’ll hear it
Jermaine Jackson was actually the better singer but he wasn't the better performer
That look on Jackie's face at the beginning is priceless. He was a proud brother. 👏
Yes he was 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@@deandreray3500 as opposed to pride?
That's Love
@@aristotemopanga 💕
@@deandreray3500 No he was impressed by Michael hitting those notes in the beginning because Michael was going through puberty and his voice was changing
That's when you can hear his voice start to change to the older Mike voice.
Jackie in the background SMILING when he hear his li'l brother Michael go off in the beginning!
He's like "Go 'head Mike. Get 'em". Jackie was PROUD of Michael right there.
You could SEE it! I think he always proud of Michael's ability being the oldest brother.
You can tell he is really feeling this arrangement too. He’s back there grooving lol
@@NeeneeH I love the interactions with the brothers. Each with their own little personality.
And I love how the Jacksons play off of each other. They can't hide that love. You know they're family.
Can't blame Jackie though. This was a cold arrangement. Just 3 years after original song came out too.
I like the way they changed the arrangement to accommodate Michael's post pubescent voice. Better than the original recording! ❤❤❤
I agree!!
I Also Agree The Way They Changed Their Music Style Up To Help Michael Because Of That Change, Michael Around This Time He Was Experimenting On How He Wanted To Be In His Solo Career. For Example The Different Singing Adlibs He Did And Dance Moves He Did.
I wish this was the recorded version 😍
@@nbawwefanboys2918 I really liked the singing adlibs
And people say he can't sing live !
He didn’t just sing 🎵 his songs, he felt every note, every vibration of the instruments. Just an amazing talent!!! Michael was the best!!!
Bruh...MJ was smooth a silk. Pure talent.
Christianity is no religion. It is a fact. Start reading the bible and send me some verses which proofs Christianity is a religion and not a reality. All we say about Christianity must be able to proof with the BIBLE . We can´t do that, proof that Christianity is religion, cause there is no verse which says so. Bible warns us all about events truly took place, take place, shall take place. Any soul, who believes that Christianity is a cult and a religion is deceived the deepest by the masons. Cause after all , all their lies /religions/ points back to them. For all of us must take the credit about whatever we make up. Masons know which lies are fully theirs and therefore point back to
them, as the authors of these lies.
Why is bible TRUE?
- because it is WRITTEN BY GOD. 2 Timothy 3:16
- Because BIBLE is accurate and all which written in there truly have taken place - take place, shall take place.
Any other book, is just filled with opinions of humans in different timelines , ages and beliefs. Any other book, is written by mans aka humans as they all went and lean on their own understandings of life . Bible calls us not to do so: Simply because we don´t know , because we been around only for a tiny moment and shall be around only for a moment, 120 years. All of us leaving before final 20 years shall be lived. That means, we live on earth 20 years less. Many live as ignorant, meaning, they seek no knowledge, that gives full lifetimes wasted away, no matter the amount of years.
Adult hood start with the age of 20, and should last till death, meaning 100 full years given to seek out the truth/knowledge. How many seeking? FEW.
How many waste their whole lifetimes? MANY.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Bible clears out how FEW souls shall be in heaven:
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Bible gives clear picture how to be and how to be not a real Christian?
- GO AND SIN NOT MORE and analyse yourself daily to see if you are still in faith.
- be like a workman, dividing rightly the word of truth.
- be busy to do the will of GOD as you endure patiently till the end.
- warn others about their sins they live in.
- be not a lazy nor a lukewarm, whom are not cold nor hot, therefore become a cast away.
- be not asleep like others are, who watch no signs which GOD shall send.
- be not friend with the world but expose the wicked.
None is Christian nor on their way to heaven unless have come to repentance - born again and busy daily living up to GOD`S expeditions: doing daily the WILL OF GOD: - KEEP - PREACH - WATCH - EXPOSE/WARN
John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Our maker as we read, is SPIRIT, and He created us in His own image, therefore we, humans, are SPIRITS also.
There is no saving carnal bodies, THE INNER MAN, SPIRIT OF EACH HUMAN is whom are called to repentance and born again.
And everyone got created Spirit 1st as GOD through His word says:
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
He was like a butterfly coming out of his cocoon. The incomparable Michael Jackson.
A gift from GOD. You can’t teach his level of talent
You are so right! My mother says that all the time..
The words that came to mind after watching this for the first time were just that - GOD GIVEN TALENT. This isn't normal.
Gifted beyond words
Has a kind of jazz vibe to this version. Shows just how versatile Michael was as a singer even at a young age.
0:09 Jackie was like “ my brother can sang can’t he!!?? Bring your best when you see us!”
You can generally tell that the boys really enjoyed singing and performing.
The way Michael hits the "Never" note is beautiful 🥺❤️
yes
I miss the king so much sometimes
Man was doing this in the 70s still better than anyone today in 2022
lol, so true
Get you a man who looks at you how Jackie looks at Mike throughout this entire performance
0:51 when Jackie looks at Jermaine and smiles, and Jermaine smiles back at Jackie even bigger, talk about an absolute happiness smile! In all the years of the Jacksons, this performance on the Tonight Show in 1974 was as good as it gets.
its sad to know that behind the scenes they were in an abusive environment
what a moment right... the joy is infectious even now.

This rendition gives me goosebumps. When Michael starts singing Jackie's face lights up like a christmas tree and he puts a little extra soul in his steps. He was just beaming with pride.
Michael is so young here yet sounds so much like he did when he was an adult yet still the soul of his younger self. Amazing🤯🤯🤯
He was probably going through that voice change stage right here
Bro 0:00 to 0:18 will forever be my favourite. Mikes voice is so perfect🥺 I wish he was still around🥺
He had unbelievable talent. Words don’t even describe it well enough. RIP KING.
Me too. So smooth
wish this performance was longer its so good
The brothers actually sang an acapella interlude before Michael started the song. It’s on CZcams search for the Carson 14 minute video. If you haven’t seen it yet.

Omg! What was that?! Michael has the voice of an angel, my heart becomes small. ❤️❤️❤️
Use CZcams music 🤣
Jermaine killed it on the bass matching Michael's voice change. Make it more jazz n laid-back funk.
Ikr!! They really were so talented. All of them.
Anyone else would kill for his success in the 70s.
He was just warming up for the 80s. And 90s.
Greatest male singer of all time.
Hard to believe it is live.
I don't know what kind of magic he has in his voice but it makes me forget all my problems. he just takes me in like another world or something I don't know what it is but I don't want it to end I just love him so much😍
Same ❤
Me too! ❤
That's the magic of Michael
Sounding like heaven so beautiful ❤️🙏🏽
“I neva neva “ ooooohh that sounds so smooth ‼️

1:18 Michael Jackson's Full Grown Adult Singing Voice!!! So Beautiful It's Amazing. Can't Stop Watching This Live Performance.
Technically his voice hadn't changed much since this video.
@@jasonmomoa9661 Bro My Man Was 16 Years Old His Voice Definitely Was Changing At This Point He Couldn't Hit Those High Notes Like He Used To When He Was A Kid. So That Song Note At 1:18 Was Definitely His Singing Voice We Know.
@@nbawwefanboys2918 okay.
@@jasonmomoa9661 Yeah Bro Alot Of Their Early Songs Teen Michael Jackson Songs Are Good... Definitely Underrated Material.
@@nbawwefanboys2918 i believe it.
Ok, this is now my favorite version of Never Can Say Goodbye.
His voice was changing here, you can tell 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love how Jackie is always the one impressed with MJ's performances. Everytime, he's right there cheering him on!
Even with this performance the older brothers knew that Michael was reaching another level. They all played their role knowing that Michael was growing as a performer/entertainer ... Michael's trajectory was just on another level.
They knew they were groovin!!!!!
The way he looks at his little brother says a lot amazing God gifted talent love you Michael
My favourite version of this song❤❤.
The jazz feel with the horns and Jermaine locking 🔒 on bass u could add a choir to it and it would be killin the original version!!!!!
They were all so proud of their little brother Michael. At around 0:22, you can hear Jermaine say "Yeah!" With a big smile. RIP MJ❤
Michael was always a giant in the world of music since he was just a little boy, we miss u MJ
I like the mature version of the classic song.
Michael Jackson had a rare talent in that he can both sing and dance
I wish Michael Jackson was still alive
I do too😢
Me too. Please come back 🥺
I think we all do.
I’ve played this like 50-11 times! I wish it was on Apple Music or something this is gold!
We will never see one like him in our lifetime again. They did this live so awesome. We took good music for granted now it just sounds terrible .

Anyone notice Jackie’s looks as if to say “that’s my little brother right there”
I think I just found my new favorite performance with all the original brothers. It was Rockin Robin in the red and yellow costumes but this arrangement Mike's adlibs the brothers harmonies and they smiling faces cuz Mike was goin in, just got me together this morn
I love how Jackie looks and smiles. He knows MJ is the greatest.
That's pure talent, but not just talent, his talent inspires the talent in others.
Right🎵🎼
His intro was amazing. He was so beautiful. ♥️
Mike? His brothers? Doc Severson and his band? SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH!!!!!! Just brilliant!
Beautiful Arrangement !!!!
I remember seeing this on the Tonight Show boy don't we all miss Michael such a talent gone to soon no autotune just pure vocals
MJ true definition of a smooth criminal 😂🙏🏽
The way they did this version of never can say goodbye is my favorite .. MJ was about 14 or 15 years old right here
15/16
Omg. Michael was absolutely the coolest, most gorgeous, most extraordinarily talented..from the Heavens.
Smooth Operator.
Great version...live and pure!
I love this version. It's Amazing!!!
The support from his brothers melts my heart..I wish my family moved as a unit like this...
The best J5 song IMHO. The video of Stevie Wonder getting choked up playing this at the MJ memorial gets me every time.
Love that angelic intro
He would ruled the 🌎 World in just 10 years from this date!
Mike, I can never say goodbye to YOU!
Jackie and Jermaine were so proud...like yesssss go tf off Mikey. It seemed like the brothers had a great time doing this song. It was a jam sessions for all of them
He was the best ever no matter what people think of him he was the best
MJ at his finest, beautiful and black in the 70s.
We're still listening Michael. Always will be.
He was sooooooooo soulfulllllll when he was younger misssssss you so much MJ rest easy
wish this was 3 minutes longer. best version of this tune
The trumpet player on this fantastic performance would have almost definitely been the great Tonight Show band leader, Doc Severinsen. Severinsen's playing is beyond impeccable - he supplements what the Jackson 5 & their players are doing perfectly, he doesn't step on Michael's lead, and at one point, it seems that both Jackie & Jermaine might be smiling because of how much Severinsen is adding. They all reach absolute perfection here!
You can tell the greats when they playing live. This is better than recorded version
I can watch this all day every day.
This guy is something else
His brothers were amazed at him Miss MJ he was so fine to the day of his last breath tall dark and handsome precious
To the person that shared this…thank you!
Baby Mj was so gorgeous!
All this does is make me very very sad . It’s sooooo good . Michael is so beautiful and talented here it’s crazy. His brothers look so happy too.
A supernova of talent.
There goes 'that man' again! Michael has always been smooth as butter from start, to finish.
I Forget What The Original "Never Can Say Goodbye" Song Sounds Like I Listened To This Version So Much!
Love Doc's horn section!
Wowwww😭😭 I never can say goodbye to you Michael
Mike was just so damn fly.
The best young man group ❤️❤️❤️ of all times. Thank you Jackson 5 for a lifetime of beautiful memories and songs. Michael you will never be forgotten ❤️🙏❤️
I love Michael Jackson😢😭
Peep Jermaine in the beginning lol you can tell he was proud of Mike. Can’t believe people say he hated on him
Love this version!
y'all can tell they were enjoying themselves performing that gem!
They killed this!!
Michael was and is still the best 💕💕💕
Those harmonies!!!!
The most beautiful rendition of their classic song ❤
Voice of gold
The King lives on!
underrated song but it’s my favorite 💯
Underrated? This is one of their biggest hits! I'm just going to assume anyone who calls popular songs underrated rode the short bus to school. This song is far from underrated.
Impresionante siempre MJ👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
I said it b4 and I'll never stop. As a group they never truly got props for their harmony.
His voice was deeper than usual here
He was going through a voice change most likely he probably was about 17 or 18
He was about 15 here
I can Listen to this Version hundert and thousend Times and sing along. It s perfect in every way.
I love this arrangement. I never hear h=this before. Thanks for posting.
My favorite Jackson 5 song
Love Jackie smiling
Love the cheering
Love Michael dancing
Love Jermaine playing
Love Tito humbly playing
Joseph you did your thing RIP
