Glad that netflix is meeting with what the market wants. People would rather see an oddball political character like Stone than repetitive and unfunny jokes in an Amy Shumer special. The trailer alone looks intriguing, keep it up netflix!
You missed the point entirely. People don't compare low-brow comedy films to political documentaries. People watch this because its interesting, yes. But they also watch it because of the current political environment, that this film aims to prove is partly Stone's making.
Your comment implies that people are watching this because they have a positive reaction to Stone, and that's very much not the case. This is akin to watching a documentary on the Manson murders. YOu don't sympathize or identify with the subject of the film, you watch out of curiosity, morbid curiosity.

I know Roger. I live in his building on the UES. My father and him run in similar circles in S. Florida. Whatever his politics, however he is portrayed, the man I know is genuine, nice, congenial, very sharp, well read a real pleasure to talk too and deal with. His book on JFK is engrossing. Congrats Roger.
