This is Valerie. We did her tour of Prague castle on 2020-05-06 (she works through 100 Spires City Tours). She is the consummate tour guide. Friendly, thoughtful about her guests, intensely knowlegable, and honest about when she doesn't know the answer. On this subject and the others she discusses she is honest, reliable, and informative. Most CZcams destination videos are poor quality and weak on material. She is an exception and sets a standard.

I am so going there. We freaking forgot about it when we were there!!! Went past it several times on the way to our botel!!! But I am going back, alone this time because she doesn't want to and I do and I am the "Czech-ish" one-- a Pijaček. Cheers!

Excellent video! We just came back from visiting Prague a few days ago. We watched many of your videos to prepare for our trip. They are amazing. We visited Vyshedrad on the last day and we were wondering why there were no videos about that site because we truly enjoyed it. I opened my CZcams feed yesterday and what pops in is your video on Vysehrad. We did miss a few things during our visit! We visited the cathedral and it was well worth it! The church is painted in Art Nouveau style which resembles Mucha's art. It is really beaufitul! Thank you for videos. They are truly helpful and so pleasant to watch!

We had a great time visiting your beautiful country! Vysehrad was one of my favorites. Great views of the Vltava river and more. We need to go back again to where the water is more expensive than Pivo (Beer). 🤙

Just back from Prague, got to spend a little time here, but only got to see the cemetery really. Guess I have to go back to see the rest.

I've visited Prague and it's truly amazing . But this church and especially it's cemetery have a special place in my heart. I remember the day that I visited , it was dark, gloomy and rainy and for me... that's the perfect mood and vibe . I really miss this place. Thank you for your videos cos after watching them, I knew what I've wanted to see in Prague and based my visit while there. ❤

It is a pentagon with a fat tail at one corner. If you tilt your head. LOL
Arrowhead fortifications based on structures of more than 4 sides (5 here with a couple of fore-bastions added) were developed when cannons and guns became more refined and powerful. They gave better overlapping fields of fire than square or round towered structures. And the lower profile was harder to damage.
@@theoztreecrasher2647 Terezín and Josefov are great examples of those type of fortress. Vyšehrad is small, limited by terrain.
