Did you know you can write Expressions in Blender? In this video, I will introduce you to Drivers in Blender and how you can use them to write Expressions.

When I was almost done with my job in last year around March 2020, I started learning blender because for a long time I wanted to give 3D product visualization a chance. Finally I had the time and to be honest starting with blender instead of any other 3D software was/still the best decision. The best thing about blender is the community obviously.
That's great to hear! I agree with you 100% and I'm very happy for you! Good luck in 2022!
@@ukramedia Thanks a lot. I hope your channel gets the recognition you guys deserve. Please keep uploading the tutorials whenever you can. I know it takes so much hard work & time. Your channel helps artist like me so much.
@@xDaShaanx Thank you for your very kind words! It means a lot. - Sergei
I've been using expressions in Blender for about a month now just by typing frame in and doing Python on it, but I had no idea you could set variable sliders for them, then animate those sliders. That is really useful, thank you.
I've not watched very many tutorials on drivers, but this one was rather clear and succinct. Very helpful, thank you. Top form.
Even your tip on *radians(value)* was a huge help for me, as I do a lot of linear motion to rotational. thanks and sub'd
For anyone wondering if they should start learning Blender: Do it! So good!
Great tutorial Sergei! 🥰
Thanks!
This is exactly what I was looking for lately for my project! Thank you so much! :)
Not very many tutorials on this (like AT ALL) out there...I think you could dominate this niche! Cool tutorial!
I've been hoping this was possible in Blender, thanx so much! By the way your channel's awesome.
Fantastic as always. Thanks for sharing, sir!
Thanks Sergei! This is extremely useful .I didn't know about this Blender Driver thing - but I know enough about AE expressions...
I'm glad you found this useful! Thanks for watching!
Damn, I didn’t know that you knew how to use Blender as well! You’re the best!
Yes- Blender Scripting- I was waiting for it! Thank you!
Ukramedia always the best! the right topic. Thank you sergei
Thank you for your kind words, Jonathan!
Blender has taken some huge leaps in recent years. An overhaul of the driver system, similar to what AE did a couple years back, to make it a little more usable and approachable would be awesome.
Love this!
Nice tutorial. I think Blender is going to be one of the biggest platforms in future, with AR and VR coming soon from Apple and other companies. We'll see a lot of AE users starting to learn 3D.
I always had high hopes for Blender. 😁

My hope is that it will one day have proper support for expression code a la Ae. That wold be a game changer indeed (perhaps even more of one than node-based editing of shaders, geoms, sims, etc.).
Super useful, thanks for sharing!
Just what I needed. Legend
amazing Tutorial, Thank you so much
Thank you so much for this helpful video...🎉❤
Very nice thanks!
This was really awesome
Thank you! Love your content, hope you make more videos about Blender or another course (the last was great!)
Thanks, Johnny!
Nice one ❤
We Need more tutorials about blender 🧡
I agree! 😁
Thats just amazing
Thanks, Artem!
I hope you do more blender stuff
Amazing! I didn't even know about such a possibility! Can we do the same with nodes (like in XPresso in Cinema4D)?
I wish I had your explanation of this when I first started learning, my Google search was almost exactly “please someone explain AE expressions in Blender”.
Regarding remapping a range did you know about the graph part of the driver editor? That is essentially a GUI for mapping the input range of whatever is the input to the output of the value being driven.
More of this please
So Nice
Thanks!
This is great.Thank you so much for the info. A question I have is : what's the equivalent of "turbulence" command (like that one you use in Maya in one axis for example) to get that shaky effect?
Try using animation modifiers in the Graph Editor. The Noise Modifier is often used to create a shaky camera effect, or random inconsistencies in other motion.
If blender can support JS like AE, it would be even more awesome! (I'm not familiar with Python)
Is there a comprehensive list of expressions we can read from? I mean, the most basic stuff so we can use it as a foundation.
I don't understand why when I follow this tutorial and type in "radians(frame)", I get "invalid Python expression" in the editor. My object does not spin about it's Z axis. Nothing happens. Puzzled.
Doesn't the Transformation Constraint perform the same function as that "Linear Transform" formula?
so fucking great & c4d can not do that i remember
but actually c4d can do it. XPresso system is quite powerful
@@Rombododecaedron yep i can coding some python
i's time to switch Blender from C4d
Why do I care what you would to in After Effects?
drags like hell
