- Hello and welcome to Lord Fenton Gaming plays Neverwinter Nights. I am your host Lord Fenton. In today's Neverwinter Nights build video, I am going to be building the Weapon Master of Devastation build. It is a weapon master build. It will contain Fighter and Barbarian levels in order reach the Weapon Master prestige class. So let's start with the Neverwinter Nights Fighter class than a few Neverwinter Nights Barbarian class and if done right you will be able to level up in the Neverwinter Nights Weapon Master class. So basically it is working towards that goal. With this build you will do critical hits that can kill on non-immune critical hit foes and foes with immunies you will take em down fats. So let's go head and do so much damage with this build. Thanks. I had to name it this way because when I did the first test it was really quick and well that poor lich died pretty hard. Still Weapon Master if people wanna focus on that class can be fun and built right can do serious damage.

Oh my bad almost forgot a good tip for all the campaigners ATM and it's in perfect sync with building videos.
Fun fact: If you create a character with a weapon focus and then go into the preludes.(This don't work for waraxe cuz that's an underdark exclusive)
But for say greatsword..if you character starts its weapon focus to it prior to prelude. You get that weapon free in your first chest. If it doesn't work check the first vendor. If he don't have it you can't get it. In great swords case this tip is worth 200gp.

Naw awesome build and even though the chaotic alignment restrict can be limiting. Still like the idea of adding barb to get an easy intimidate.

Switch it to greataxe for the critical, not as often as scimitar (for looking at devastating frequency), but very satisfying when 4x happens!! this build kills!

@@LordFentonGaming I actually tried, Scimitar, Great Sword, and Great Axe for this build and also the 30/10 Fighter/WM build on your other video. Guess what? You truly deserves the credit, the Great Sword serves both threat range and damage dice. While Scimitar and Great Axe is kind of on each other continuum end of Threat Range------------Damage Dice. So yea, Great Sword is the niche of 'em all I should say.

I am going to say if you want more Ki Strikes than the Weapon Master is the way to go. If you want more feats than the fighter.
hi im sorry for being late to the show but is there any chance you can tell me the gear you are using? I see +7 greatsword but dont have any idea what the other pieces are. I watched the gear part of the video a few times and no luck. If ya remember any of it, it would be so helpful. Thanks so much!!
No worries about being late. The armor I used is +7. Other items range from Str, Dex, Con, or any others. Go for immunity items and if need be some saving throws. Weapon go for +10. HotU expansion campaign allows this. Hope this helps.
Hey Lord Fenton I love your content as usual, I was wondering if you could do a strength base Rogue/Weapon Master build? 😄 Or could you point me in a good direction on how to make one? I was thinking maybe the sneak attack and WM abilities could stack and do some serious damage. 😈
If I can one day I will but let me give you some tips on that, first you want to use some of your fighter levels to get the weapon feat and plus the required feats for WM & Devastating crit. Once you get the 7 WM levels than use those levels to get dual wielding feats. As for Rogue afterwards yeah try to boost str to 25 so you can crit kill and if it's a sneak attack crit with Devastating crits you'll own it.
If more people ask than I am considering to put my spin on that Rogue/WM/Fighter build that is STR based.

Lord Fenton Gaming I did what you said and I just killed Desther with a Level 6 Fighter/Level 1 WM! It only took me two tries to kill him as well, because my allie died the first time 😅 Now I’m going to focus on feats that will make my build stronger now that I’ve achieved WM! And after a few levels in WM I’ll level up in Rogue to get that sneak attack.

Is it possible to get cleaver in early levels? exchange for another feat? Will it affect the build a lot?

Yes. Do this in fact. When you pick the race I did you want to do is pick Power Attack than Cleave at the start of character creation. You see Power Attack feat is a gateway to many other feats including Cleave and my favorite Divine Might. As you level up pick the weapon focus Feat of your choice that was Cleave.

Do you think a melee cleric or a paladin multiclasses with champion or torm better
Both Paladin and CoT great for fighting evil. If your going that route those two are good. As far as Melee Cleric with this build would be great all around. Plus the domains help big time too.
i enjoy watching your builds, but do you have any lvl20 builds? I have always played lvl 20 servers where the builds feel more important.
After some of these other builds and my stuff gets cleared I am thinking about it for those folks who don't want to do epic levels. If I do em I'll call em before the HotU builds since they introduced that stuff in HotU.

In case it hasn't been mentioned b4, or even if it has, maybe someone missed it. U only need 4 ranks in intimidate for weapon master. It will take 8 points if you spend the points via a class that doesn't have that as a class skill. Barb does, so only 4 points.
I think I did at the start or at least said to get to 4 or 5 than stop. The only reason I said beyond that is if you wanna use those dialog skills more for the HotU and beyond official stuff. Yes I didn't say original campaign or SoU because that skill came with the HotU Expansion . Otherwise stop at 4 than focus on better skills to get.
Hi, how good this build would be with Scythe?
If you do those feats than if your either in a campaign that allows keen enchant or have an arcane friend with the keen spell than this would really do good due to the 4X Crits.
Can you do a build for PRC swordsage?
I will have to check the classes out in that mod. If I can it will be enhanced edition. I wanted to do some NWN 2 ones first to get that out of the way.
Which campaign were you able to access these levels on?
I used a player made module to level like that on the PC.

Is weapon master good past level 7?
I made a build with 10 WM too and it's good. You won't have the feats like a fighter but the amount of Ki damage usage per day per level (IE level 10 WM gets 10 Ki Damage per day to use). The idea for builds is 7 to 10. If you go like I did it's good not godly like a RDD/Bard/Fighter or CoT/Fighter/WM.
You really do love your greatswords dont you...
It's one of the good weapons. The Scimitar is nice too. Kurki are great too. As for Hammer I feel the WarHammer is my favorite. Disappointed no 2hed katanas, 2hed hammers and hooked swords.
Hey (again)... i found a problem with a weapon and i dont know how to fix it, i made a weapon master with katana, in the module, novice to epic i bought a katana call it "katana of the mummylord", according to google its a weapon for the pirates premium module, i dont have it and now i cant get rid of it, cant drop it, sell it, how do i remove it????? I dont wanna delete the character 😢
If it is marked plot you cannot get rid of it. Only way to get rid of an item is to put it in a container, sell it or if you have the Shadows of Undrentide Henchmen setup where you can give them items to hold and use. Those are the only way to get rid of an item if it not marked plot.
@@LordFentonGaming idk if it is marked as plot, where do you see that?, i tried to sell it, drop it and put it in a bag, but nothing worked, the mobile game, brings the wailing death, the shadows and the hordes, you can download for free in the premiums, the kingmaker, shadowguard and witch's wake, the other premiums are bought
@@doblea2 Simple. If you cannot sell it than it is a plot item. If you can sell it than it is not. Normally entering some other module after character save will wipe out plot items. The Neverwinter Enhanced Edition versions gives most of the modules free except the premium stuff which so far they are good.
@@LordFentonGaming there are some "official" community modules to download, but some of them are bigger than the game, that is not normal 😅... i will try the other module thing to try to get rid of the katana, if that doesn't work, i will have to re build the swordmaster 😭.... as always, thanks

If you're not dual wielding kukris with devastating crit you're doing it wrong.
If you want to you can put in exotic weapon focus, and the duel wielding three feats. Even than you will get Devastating Crit at at later level yet your weapons are lightning fast. I like to use those weapons for rogues because they are fast especially strength rogues.
Have fun dealing with things that are immune to crits tho. Kukris and all the feats it takes to get dw etc I never found worth it. Fun for pvp with servers that allow it tho. Greatswords I've found a nice average, and can keep feats for buffing up my character instead of having to constantly equip unequip items for the situation.
@@stabbathtv That is the only down side of Devastation Crit is of course the crit immune foes or that foe who can be critted fortitude save comes in. No matter what when that situation arises you gotta swap on the spot. As for Greatswords I like em for some reason it's a nice front line weapon.
