Your review about car is good, but comparison is not in full detail. Take 2500km/month @ mileage of 15km/l(at max) then ₹6.7/Km so total petrol cost is ₹16,250/month, for 5years it is around 10lakhs. In 5years car would have crossed 1.25lakh kms average maintenance cost is ₹25000/ year that means ₹1,25,000/- so in 5years the total expenses is ₹11,25,000/- if you minus 6lakhs for battery cost, balance ₹5.5lakhs is there. If you cross 1lakh KM then ₹40,000 to ₹50,000/- has to be spent for clutch, timing chain, belt and so many wear and tear parts. Come to electric, the average mileage is 250km/ charge. If it comes 200km means then it is rash driving. If you drive like that then petrol car will give mileage of 10 to 12km/l. For single charge it will take min 30units. If you take ₹5/unit then per km it is Rs1.6/km for 5years you would have spent ₹2lakhs for EV in EB bill. In tamilnadu EB cost is from ₹2 - 6. I have taken on higher side. Still you can save 3.25lakhs. i have not taken common wear and tear part like brake pad, Tyre etc... Actually speaking these 2 will wear less in EV. frankly speaking you pay your car emi by petrol cost. This is useful for who drives min 2500km/month average 100km per day. Thanks

@@samgeorgebush9216 if you are using 3000km then definitely you can go for electric but your single trip should be 200 to 250km if it is nexon. If your trip is 300 to 350 then MG ZS EV. If your trip is 400 to 450 then BYD

It's not required to change the whole battery. Which ever battery is short or bad only that needs to be replaced

Looks like both petrol and ev car amount spent are equal atbthe end of 5 years. So in this case why use petrol and spoil our pollution. Instead ev can be used. We all should change to ev and when it comes almost near to petrol car they why ti hesitate. Ev can go and this will make future atkeast little bit greenary for young ones

No one is talking about the cost of old battery. Secondly you have to compare this with the cost of a top end automatic diesel car. Don’t compare with a base end petrol car. It’s equal to a automatic gate less auto clutch car. Do you know the cost of a automatic transmission if it wears out ?
Cost of the battery cost you around 5 Lakhs and difference between petrol automatic and ev price is around 4L
And there is no sense to compare with diesel.
