Nice video learned a lot. Was looking to get a battery for long storage and this list was useful and helpeful.
Awesome Video. Very helpful. Thank you!
Fantastic video, thanks mate
Thank you. You saved me some time and money
Excelent review. In Brazil the worst battery is Duracell since they leak frequently. Best regards, Mário.
Thank you so much for sharing!! great data and test!! i learned something
Cool, Glad it was helpful!
I love your channel...
Thank you! Happy New Year 🎊🎆 to you...
Thank you, Happy New year!
Id like to see how Duracell Procell & Procell Intense compare, they're supposed to be about half a volt or so higher charged than the typical Duracell battery. They're a little harder to find and are supposed to be used for commercial/industrial applications.
wonderful video and so informative.
Thanks!
I always choose Energizer Lithium because of the 20+ year shelf life
why are there dislikes on this video jesus some people can’t have enough
Costed over $100 to buy these batteries and few days to time-lapse each one and compile it together. There are dislikes on any video no matter how good it is. I was curious how well each battery would do because discharging with light bulbs, fans or pulsed chargers like other people did is not very accurate. I compared pulsed vs. mine and the results were 10-30% off. People don't realize this stuff.. I didn't go too much into detail about it in the video because it's too boring. Voltage is also very important, but it's complicated for some people to understand it.. with a light bulb test you can have two batteries that last the same amount of time, but the voltage/brightness can vary significantly.
Probably because you use the name “Jesus” to convey displeasure or dissatisfaction. Doesn’t make much sense does it? Stop it! For your own sake.
Some people might even disliked you comment! 😱
Can disclose the equipment used for these battery tests? Also, great job. This is the best battery test I have seen so far.
Thanks, It's an Accucell 6, Similar model to this one: hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-accucell-6-80w-10a-1-6s-balancer-charger-suitable-for-lihv.html It took a lot of time to make these videos, so I'm happy they're useful. I was looking for a high end multiple battery model to try and test 4 at once, but haven't managed to get one yet. I'm not sure if it would be as reliable. This one was very reliable.. I tested each battery type twice just to make sure, and the results were nearly identical.
I've been happy using acdelco max power in the 48 packs. The price is great on Amazon. I don't put them in high drain devices though.
The AA and AAA 10-packs have been on sale at IKEA for the past several months for only $1.79 per pack. Insane value at only 18¢ per battery.
Nice.
Might as well give them for free if they're giving that cheap
TY brotha
Great video. I've always gotten Duracell because that's what we always got, but was less than impressed when I tried out the optimum. Guess I might be switching to Energizer. Is there much reason to test rechargeable batteries in this way?
Thanks. Optimum is a good battery according to the test, I'd say it's better than the Energizer slightly, it's just the high cost that is the problem. Yes I am testing some rechargeables right now, I cycled them 50 times and did a before/after, test is not finished yet, because I can't believe the results so I have to re-do the whole thing again with another few batteries. All I can say at the moment is you're likely getting a super great deal going to Ikea to get your Rechargeable NiMHs!!.. How good of a deal will have to be confirmed when I re-test..but seems too good to be true.
It's basically looking like the Ikea may be even better and at least as good than Eneloop pro basically, which costs 2-3 times the price of the Ikeas here!
I, too, would get duracell, mainly due to reputation & probably marketing! I'll definitely be changing from now on!!
Thank you!!
for me the optimum are the best batteries
So it's better the Energizer Ultimate Lithium?
And what happened with the Energizer Max Plus?
Capacity can have a lot to do with drain rate, whether the design is optimized for high current or high capacity though in a device using as much as 200mA, I wouldn't use alkaline at all, rather LSD, NiMH.
Nice video! Rayovac is a great value initially but I always have a problem with their shelf life. Every time I go to get a battery, I have to throw away 2 or 3 because they've exploded. I've purchased them 3 times and it always happens.
Dang I buy rayovac AA and AAA's by the 60 pak and keep them for years and never seen one explode or leak in the slightest way.
I just got 60 ok AA & 60 pk AAA FOR $7.88 each pk which I think was absolutely a unbeatable deal.
crazy. I wonder if there some other factor that could make the Duracell worth it.
Rayovac should give you money. I’m buying my first ones tomorrow.
I wish! 😃 .. It took a lot of work to make these videos (timelapses, video animations), but hopefully more people will watch them.
I like the Energizer Industrial alkaline batteries best.
I bought these energizer batteries that you can recharge they last about 8 hours in my controller and I can swap them out for fresh ones while I recharge the dead ones honestly its a great investment
I like batteries cant wait ti see silver battery
Wow i had made right choice so cool
The Panasonic Alkaline batteries are the best. They don't leak, I've had issues in the past with Energizer batteries leaking on me. Recently I've had allot of problems with Duracell batteries leaking like crazy. I'd say one out of four would start to leak on me. I'm not even using them in anything with a crazy amp draw. Just some cheap LED flashlights and the remotes on my RC cars and a few radios and CD players.
Interesting! Have you tried Rayovac? One of the Optimum that was tested did end up leaking on me, just by sitting around discharged.. Energizers though seems to do much better, I hardly ever see them leak.
@@CleverFix In the past I've used Rayovac and never had an issue. But not recently.
Can you do simply Duracell as as please
You don't know my coast so just the performance is all that matters. What if # *.* was on sale ?
Do you have aaa battery test? Thanks
Energizer i love
I actually used ikea batteries before but they are not recommended on high drain devices like Lego mindstorms
My favorite batteries are duracell and energizer
i always liked rayovac, other tests show rayovac ultra pro are even better
You can find very good deals on batteries on eBay. I got a new 48 pack of standard Energizers for $12.
Great price!
Yes I just bought 40 some energizer's for 15 bucks thanks for the tip
I am a live stage sound engineer. My world collapsed. I used Ikea alkaline on the job for a lot of years. rechargeable are a pain in the ass because you have to recharge them before each job, even if they are not empty. Rechargeable are just very labor intense and way LESS reliable. Ikea alkaline was by far the best 'high power drainage' battery and extreme low priced. Now I have to start my search all over again. The test here did not use high drainage equipment which is a pity. Thanks for the video anyway. I can use it as a start point.
Sorry, most people use these batteries for remote controls and low power equipment, so that's why I picked low drain. I would expect the energizer non-lithium to do quite well at higher loads, and Rayovac should be decent as well in terms of value per $. You can try a huge pack of Energizer and Rayovac and see how they compare with the Ikeas you have been using. Let us know how it goes if you try.. I'd be interested to know. I think that should save a few dollars, but I'm not sure if you'd really notice unless you're really going through tons of batteries constantly.
@@CleverFix Thank you. is the energizer and/or the Rayovac an alkaline battery?
@@computerjantje Yes I was referring to the Energizer and Rayovac alkalines. All the batteries in the video are alkaline except for the Energizer Lithium. The lithium lasts the longest, but it's very expensive.
'
how about RITE AID store have their own batterys...
try test it
Bro i want more like duracell vs energizer please 🙏🏻
nice
Rayovac keeps corroding 80% of the time I use them , no more
The Ikea's are great. Sadly, they found out about it, and started slowly phasing them out.
So IKEA is the best all around value battery. That’s what I got out of this.
IKEA battery is rechargeable?
Spoiler
@@FaisalKingdom Yup. IKEA will actually stop selling alkaline batteries soon and only sell rechargeable batteries.
'
how about amazon batterys
It's not the best idea to use batteries from a few years ago. Try this experiment again using the new Duracell batteries which have Powerboost ingredients.
I thought the Panasonic would be at most 10% less than Rayovac not 30%? because I used both in my remotes and they seem to last to same or dam close!
Interesting! How did you count how long they last in a remote? By days?
@@CleverFix Yup usually 6 months.
@@METALMAN4Wii It is possible that your remote stops working at a higher voltage, like 1.2V. All four budget batteries did about the same down to 1.2V . Once the batteries stop working in your remote, try them in a flashlight and see how much longer they last. The Rayovac might still have quite some power left, and Panasonic not much. See how long the flashlight will run for, on the used batteries. Your remote would be unable to use the Rayovac's energy since it's at a lower voltage but a flashlight will keep working. If the Rayovac works quite a bit longer in the flashlight after being in the remote, that would explain the difference. Otherwise, I have no idea how it's possible! The Rayovac clearly has more energy in it.. I tested a few of them.
@@CleverFix it's simple a remote use very little power if you did a retest at a much lower discharge rate like 10ma you would find that even the dollar store ones last almost as long the Duracell quantum and energizer lithium work much better at higher current drains than the really cheap ones due to the high internal resistance which creates more voltage sag at higher currents
@@michaeldhondt368 Yes, It is true that the higher the drain the faster low quality batteries will die out, but I'd be surprised if energizer Vs panasonic will last the same or even similar, even at 10mA. I think the Panasonic just doesn't have the energy in there to give out that much even if there are no losses due to high current. I can't test it because the charger only goes down to 100mA. A remote won't use 10mA constantly for sure though, it has to be much less. I have remotes that last years without changing batteries,.. 6 months is very short and it could be that his remote just doesn't work at lower voltages.
Yes, we were all very happy with the Ikea alkaline batteries, until they decided to stop selling them (here in Australia at least). All they stock now are rechargeable - they explain why on their website. Hey Ikea - rechargeables don't suit every application!
Great point.. That is very strange, because rechargeable voltage is much lower, so they won't work for certain devices as you mention. I was happy with them too..
I am a live stage sound engineer. My world collapsed. I used Ikea alkaline on the job for a lot of years. rechargeable are a pain in the ass because you have to recharge them before each job, even if they are not empty. I went with the optimum ty for the video because i can't find the energizer lithium smh
Amazon and walmart
You forgot to include the Amazon batteries that seem to be pretty high up there in value!
I didn't forget, just no budget.. All I need is one or two batteries of each and they sell them in huge packs that are quite expensive.. I never use Alkalines really, only rechargeable. I did this video since a lot of people are using Alkaline and most testing videos are not using accurate equipment to test. All of those electronic chargers that take 4 batteries at once(Maha is one) are pulsed, which means they drain the battery at 1Amp for a fraction of a second every second. That can cause a 20%+ error and make some batteries look like they're as good as others when they're really not, I've tried it.
Was that big "bunch" of batteries you bought or was that a "bunch of flowers " . Was it a "large" or "numerous" number of batteries you bought in actual fact. 🤔
Everday ?
Rayovac batteries are owned by energizer, at least that’s what I heard from CZcams
Best battery in the world is the ENERGIZER folks, THE LITHIUM retain more energy than most of the battery I've ever used.
'
i have alot of rayovac batterys from home depot store
Plot twist: the video is sponsored by energizer
Funny! But sponsored by my own pocket.. almost $100 of batteries since I had get full packs.. and I normally use rechargeable... so it was a bit of a waste. Rechargeable is the way to go.
The real best value are rechargeable batteries
Ellen musk battery coming soon
🌽 🏀
I'm amazed IKEA beat duracell. That's kinda embarrassing.
When doing price comparisons, you really should use the same number of batteries per pack. It's not really a fair comparison looking at a 10 pack vs a 72 pack.
Those are the biggest packs I could readily find of each type of battery, so you can actually buy those if you want. There are other packs available, but you won't find a 72 pack of Energizer easily for example. I'm assuming people are looking for a good value are looking for lots of batteries not just 10.. Ikea Alkalisk only comes in a 10 pack. You can easily also find Optimum in 12 pack but you won't find it in a 72 pack. So, it's not just the count, but what is available that's important. If the brand won't offer you the bulk discount, then you can't get it if you're looking to buy in bulk.
Even in a 10 pack, Rayovac is about half price compared to Energizer, so it will still offer a great value relatively.
@@CleverFix I realize that, but a fair comparison would be just to buy 4 packs since you can readily get that in all brands and would normalize your value analysis.
I appreciate the effort to make this video and it is useful. But, there are some shortcomings. I agree, it's not fair to compare the package cost of packages that are very different sizes, especially if not noting the cost per battery on the same chart.
Anyway, who is buying 72-packs (found in various brands at Sam's and Costco)? Do people not know they lose charge while sitting on the shelf?
Duracell is junk in my opinion compared to industrial batteries and energizer Max and Energizer lithium ultimate.
So sorry fell asleep during the 1st 3 minutes.
If you can't sleep at night just come back to this video 😃
I don’t know if you knew this or not but you actually don’t have to talk like that
