- An overnight wet wild camp in heavy rain at Hurunui Hut in the Kaimai Ranges with Outdoorsman Dave. There was rain. Very heavy rain. Lots of mud and a storm overnight. It was wet. Very wet. Did I mention the heavy rain?
Rain and water on the lens made for some difficult filming conditions during this heavy rain camp and hike to Hurunui Hut in the Kaimai Ranges, New Zealand.

Awesome stuff guys. My two favorite old fellas getting out there in the nasty weather. Thanks for showing us how it's done 👍
Hah! Yep, theres life in the old dogs, yet. Showing you how its done? I love it. Thanks for watching.
It was a business doing pleasure with you buddy. Fascinating to see the same scene taken from different perspectives, it was a smile a mile...from pack-horse Dave.
You looked after me well, and it's much appreciated. It was an easy trip with great company. Thanks.
Wow, almost our one year anniversary, such a fun hiking adventure together. I predict that one day you’ll learn to love the rain 😉
Almost a year? How quickly time flies. Im not sure I'll ever "love the rain", but I have started to see it in a better light. I did a trip to a hut last weekend and it was fine. No rain, just blue sky. Hard to believe, I know.
Nice one Peter! Great to see you and Davr had a nice time.
Cheers!
Yep. Two old buggers playing around in the bush and pretending we know what we are doing. Thanks for the watch.
Dave is a crack up
Yep. You should try spending a night in a hut with him!
Great collab, enjoyed watching you two
I very rarely ever go with anyone else, so it was different. Thanks for stopping by.
Over here from Outdoorsmandave. Great video and neat to see it from a different perspective.
Thanks for dropping by. I have been enjoying your bike tour videos. Thanks for the watch.
@@OAPAdventures Thanks for watching, Peter. Cycle touring is certainly more luxurious than trudging through muddy forests with a big pack on your back!
You are not wrong
This is fantastic cross over! It's fantastic seeing the banter. TBH with you on porridge (with some dried fruit and milk powder...) travels well and always tasty if you keep the fruit mix varied... dried mango is the best.
It's fantastic looking hut.
Great video, gave me some laughs. look forward to the next one.
I'm pleased that you enjoyed it. Dave and I got on well, hence the banter. I'm going to have to up my breakfast game for next time,
@@OAPAdventures Need to out play him, take full kiwi breakfast, all the trimmings.
Sounds like a plan
Nice one guys. Now I have seen Dave con a mate out of bacon when he just brought porridge along in one of his videos, so you should have scored some of his fancy brekkie. That spider though! Yikes.
I was happy we found the spider in the morning! I couldn't eat some of Dave's breakfast after he looked so pleased with himself with the results . Thanks for watching.
