Looks like India might start trading with Rupees instead of Dollar in near time and it might become a biggest change and time for Indian economy. I am sensing that's why the RBI and other people are not focusing on the reserves and spilling it all over.
It is definitely a setback but think about the position India could become. This will definitely bulldoze Dollar and Rupee will gain advantage over time. And since India is a highly growing power and with the world focusing more on India this will be an unavoidable situation for all countries.

SGB all series price showing high compare with physical gold.
Why this different. Ex: Today gold trading at 1668$ dollar for one ounce. So 1 Gram gold 59.57$.
So india rupee trade at 79.78₹.
1Gram gold India price 4752.
But all series Bond trading above this price.
It is not calculated like this. Yesterday I sent money for my son's education and I paid 83.3 per $. It is not pure vanilla calculation. 😀
In SGB rate is the average of last 6 days rate, I think.
Here SGB pays 2.5% interest on that amount as well. For example you bought 10 grams of SGB at 5000 which is 50,000. Whether gold rate is up or down you will get 2.5% of 50,000 every year for 8 years.
