Hope you guys enjoy this brief video on cylinder head o-ringing, I briefly go into detail about the benefits of this process, and how it is done along with what materials are used.

Thanks for the info. older video I know, but I wanted to ask if there is a benefit to o-ringing the head vs the block or if it doesn't matter which one you do? I have always thought O-ringing was done to the block?
Is there a certain area in the head gasket you want the oring to be or just in the bump where it seems like a fire ring is? Thanks
What about on a copper gasket is it suppose to “crush” the o ring onto the copper head gasket?

When do you need to O ring a 4g63? What power levels
When you start seeing serious boost over 48-50psi I am assuming. I have comfortably ran 43psi without any issues and no o rings.
@@KiwiTheKiwi24 what head gasket were you running mate?
@@markc1456 OEM Mitsu evo 9 headgasket. Still running it. 40k km on it so far and a shit ton of boost. As long as you got L19 head studs or 625 they shouldn't have any problems.
Good too know! ill be using another OEM 9 gasket on mine, cracked my head recently 😩 was thinking of going a hks or nitto stopper gasket but why change from what works
@@markc1456 I got a Cometic gasket on my O-ringed head. So far so 👍
