I love "alcoholic small town guy who witnessed something as traumatic as supernatural 20 years ago and now has PTSD-riddled monologues in the local bar about it".
When I used to live in Bellingham, WA ages ago (near the Canadian-US border) there was a guarantee that there was at least ONE person like that outside of most bars on weekends. I’d say Seattle or other areas too but Bellingham is just a very strange microcosm so it’s much more noticable.
@@The_Sharktocrabyeah Jim Breuer. The guy who isn't actually a stoner but is forever the archetypal stoner dude... Shayne’s ability to do so many different voices that make perfect characters is unreal. Dumpster Wizard, My Favorite Pizza Place, Alex Thereman, Spencer “The Chosen” Agnew. Love ‘‘em all
what I love about Shayne's humor too is that it is so detailed and well rounded. he just KNOWS how to hit the nail perfectly into the coffin. the progression of his bits made it even funnier. the first time he introduced the character he kept it pretty basic, because the bit intself was phenomenal. but after people are already familiar with it, he still makes it funny like a first time by showing more sides of the character or making him more unhinged and ridiculous. he really understands the nooks and crannies of humor.
Ok this is gold Shane. Dumpster wizard and this are…(actual) strokes of genius. The first bit “sass quatched into town.” I’m glad I wasn’t eating or drinking because I would of choked and died
I love how at 0:26 courtney laughs kinda hard for a sec cuz its a legendary shayne bit but then reels it straight in and takes a sip of coffee like, “oops im not supposed to be laughing because I’m part of the bit.” So freakin funny this crew man 😂
That was me man. Some guy named Shane wanted me to fill in cause I looked like him, man. I don’t even look like him, but they still kept calling me Shane, man!
The only thing more shocking about how good this character is from the jump, is that Shane didn't come up with it years ago. Its SO OBVIOUS for him to do a character like that, in retrospect.
I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time!😂 I did this test when I hold my breath and see if the bit would make me let it out uncontrollably. That test never fails.

That's a specific type of person you got there. I wonder if i can see something like this in the wild soon
To me it seems like a caricature version of the Vietnam vet.
also know as Alex.
As a Washingtonian I can absolutely confirm that’s true
I love how Shayne's face lights up when he hears the trigger phrase that cues him in. Very immersive.
Alex is a sleeper agent
So funny
