TXANA ISAKA and his partner live in their native Huni Kuī village, Boa Vista, which is located deep in the Amazon rainforest along the upper Jordão River, in the Acre State of the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil. He is the grandson of Pajé Meka who is one of the main guardians of the sacred and ancient Huni Kuin chants of Nixi Pae.
