In regard to the death of Lala's father, Ariana was saying that she needed to buck up in regard to expecting sympathy from the VPR cast. When Ariana's father died, while being on the show, the cast called her Debbie Downer, Kristen was vile to her (even though that was a layered response because she and Tom had just broken up), Jax was saying slick shytt to her, it was brutal. So Ariana was saying that Lala was basically looking for sympathy in the wrong place because these people lack sympathy.
Actually, from what I remember that conversation, she was telling her to stop lashing out at people and to get real about what was actually bothering her
She told her it wasn’t an excuse to lash out.

Not to defend ariana, but she did explain in the reunion that what she meant by "toughening up" to lala was that nobody gave ariana grace or was there for her when her dad died. she was saying nobody in the cast was going to give you grace or going easy on her. She was called a downer by jax and boring or to sad because she was mouring
Nick cutting off his guest while ranting about VPR actually made me laugh out loud
Nick’s retelling of that scene with Lala and Ariana is not accurate. Ariana was one of the only people defending Lala and there for her when her dad died.
I’m ruthless. If I were Arianna I would’ve sat with Tom AND scheana and Lala since they pushed for it, let him say his peace and I would’ve looked at them and said “oh was that good for you? Now we are no longer friends this is done so you’re free to stop crying over feeling like you’re in the middle” lmao I’d block and move on. Never another thought of that friendship again
Also this episode shows that Nick was a fan from the start lol. Brock said Tom shows up (bc he does to fund things). Adult relationships are usually longer stretches in between and that’s ok. And to be fair scheana isn’t a good friend JUST bc she’s always around. These ppl have strange criteria for what a good friend is
She should have or at least given us more this season. She has never brought much to the show. Thats the problem.

She didn’t sign up for the show originally she was kinda pulled in via scheana and honestly have an entire cast of shitshows sucks. Ariana staying true to who she is has been what makes her relatable and likable…Scheana being into everything and crying over everyone constantly has make her less likable from the audience

Because you just want the person to act like they’ve never been hurt then I actually appreciate that they’ve been hurt and this is going to change them and they’ve got to deal with that change
She’s not holding onto anger and resentment if it was less than a year since this happened and she was dealing with a pretty damn good but she doesn’t have to pretend Tom is someone he isn’t to be considered getting over. It doesn’t have to pretend Tom is a nice guy who didn’t do anything wrong, and he deserves her attention.
She can move on with never having to talk to that man again that is moving on. She learned her lesson from him. She’s not gonna repeat it she’s moving on, but she’s not gonna go back and pretend he didn’t do what he did just to make him look good on the show.

About that Lindsay and Carl’ conversation on his possible return to Loverboy: I’m surprised that no one made the parallel with what was shown in this episode of Kyle’s narrative about work. Kyle sees his own work as fully dedicated and long hours (18 hours a day he says when he explodes outside) versus the perpetual lacking hours or dedication of his co-workers.
Last summer, the viewers were given the impression that Carl had let Kyle down by not showing up enough at work, etc. This year (and previous years), he’s said that Amanda is lazy or not working enough. But who in their right mind want to work 18 hours a day? What if Amanda or Carl were just working a solid 8 hours a day and just not appreciated enough by Kyle?
To me, hearing Lindsay comparing going back to Loverboy with going back to an ex, for, in the end, having to witness Kyle blowing up about how people deserve to be fired if they do not comply to an insane and unhealthy amount of work, was just an omen or the evidence we waited for agreeing with Lindsay.

Oh I remember the dad comment. It was because LaLa was lashing out and being highly antagonistic because her dad had died. Which is understandable, but LaLa was being really cruel. Also, Ariana’s father had passed away as well, which was why she brought up what her expectations of others were when she faced something similar.

Why does everyone keep ignoring the fact that they started filming this show LESS that 6x months after the scandal.? That Production AGREED to Ariana's boundaries before she came back & used the cast to get what they wanted anyway. The only reason Ariana said Lala needed to get over her dad's death was because she was lashing out and picking fights and blaming her grief. Ariana had lost her dad a year or so prior, and she related and was looking to help. They actually did come to a very unified understanding after that. Lala was trying to give Ariana that same hard truth this season, but it just kept being related to her breakup, so it became more of a misunderstanding than a constructive conversations..

This comment is regarding the previous episode where Nick talks about Marias conspiracy theory that he told production to make her villain. If you listen to Kaitlin Bristow’s podcast, she explains that it was just a joke. She said on the call her daddy podcast. It’s interesting that Nick could’ve just had a conversation with her to clear that up. He’s the one giving relationship advice and yetinto something negative when he could’ve just sent her a message or picked up the phone and cleared it all up very quickly. It’s almost like he wants the negative attention sometimes to bring more people to watch the podcast or have headlines. I agree with 95% of what he says and does, but in this circumstance, a quick conversation could’ve prevented all of it. That’s it love your show, though!

Don't you know (it's been brought up a bunch of times) that Jo was best friends with Kristen Doute for years (AFTER she was fired from VPR) so how can you call HER a fan that just wants to be on the show? She met everyone through Kristen when Kristen wasn't on the show! Yet Schwartz's new girlfriend IS a legit fan but you fawned over her-even had her join him on your podcast LOL. Were you not listening to how they met? As the cast has always said (or let slip) in interviews, no one goes to Sur for the food (now anyway). They're all fans. Many whom continuously stalk the place hoping they'll catch the cast filming and get to meet them (or get hired). Sophia said in your interview that she was taking her friend to SUR for her birthday but then they "heard" (how-without bringing up the cast to someone?) that James Kennedy was DJing at TomTom, so they went over there and that's how she met Schwartz. She said she "randomly" saw Tom there and "he was lookin' hot so I simply just told him and that was it." Schwartz wasn't trying to go into detail-probably knowing how she sounds. He said (twice) that "we didn't talk for a long time after that," just a brief interaction, etc. She jumps in w/ "he was kinda hard to catch to be honest. I told him I wanted to go on a dinner date with him and he was like 'yeah yeah yeah' (like blowing her off at first) but once we did, you couldn't get away from me." She said at first when she met him, she wasn't planning on asking for his number or anything, she just wanted to say hi." So she did & they chatted over drinks, etc. After that, her friends wanted to leave so she went back to say goodbye to him (sure ya did) but couldn't find him anywhere (he had left & gone to the bar next door). She was about to leave but decided to "circle around once more" 🤔and ran into Kyle "dragging" him back to the bar. She said it was "a sign" (pretty sure you were already sold at that point w/ the "circling around once more" admission) and asked him "Can I give you my number?" ANOTHER RED FLAG: she met Katie "randomly" prior to meeting Schwartz! What a coincidence! Sorry but I had to go back and quote her exact words so you'll recognize the absurdity in calling Jo (a friend Kristen met when she was CANCELED) a fan, but not pick up on THIS blatant fangirl behavior? Even HE joked with the 8x10 autograph bit and she did not like that one, that's for sure. We're all sensitive over comments that have a ring of truth. You're usually pretty quick to analyze/call out odd behavior so for you to witness this firsthand and react like you're watching a romcom? Strange. Was Natalie your fan? Is that why? When Sophia said she walked up and told Schwartz he was hot and that was it, Natalie said she did the same with you so....? Nothing wrong with that btw but you can't clown someone for being a fan when they became friends with an ex cast member but choose to ignore this.

Nick, your perspectives on the cast of vanderpump are all very isolated, based on instances without the context of any other moments or instances. People who Stan for Ariana are for the most part adding up all the receipts, and then making decisions accordingly. The cast, you playing devil’s advocate, and the handful of real people with conviction (excluding recreational trolls and bots) have to compare moment to moment without context to reframe whatever they need to. That’s why all of the of fans are coming for Jeremiah the bullfrog and Andrew Baskin Robins… this whole narrative they are explicitly committed to is so misogynistic at its core. It’s honestly the most “real” thing about this show. It’s why I want future reality tv shows to do after shows with the producers instead of the cast… explain why we’re seeing what we’re seeing and what we maybe aren’t seeing and WHY
You could have them comment on the real time, post show, social media content the audience is consuming as they are also watching footage from months before, and how hindsight changes or reinforces the narrative… opportunities for showing unaired scenes, again, in defense of the story they ended up with or maybe to expose forks in the road and what the for and against arguments were for choosing the direction they eventually chose… the real, creative power struggle…what a cool evolution of the “reality” show?!
Just a heads up, on the Mica case, she definitely killed herself. However, it's about what - if anything - they can do about him obviously pushing her to that in a way.

I love all the takes on poor Ariana having go through this on tv. She is the one that called production after she found out about affair. Production ruined this show by filming so soon after last season and only having one thing to talk about so It forced these fake interactions. And Ariana is being a tad selfish. She has all these things going on outside vpr so she doesnt really need it. The others do so leave and quit messing it up for those who want to play ball when she was the one who involved production in the first place
These shows are not pure reality but a version of it. In real life, most people will stifle conflict just so they can get along. So my assumption is that the challenge of these shows is to have open confrontations about the stuff you'd normally zip your lip about and not rock the boat on. So I really don't understand why there is the hate for Scheana, Lala, Jax, etc when they are doing just that. If they were going to keep their feelings mum to support Ariana, and/or Brittany it would be real life and we wouldn't be watching it as entertainment.
Came back to write that I really sincerely hope Nick doesn’t defend Sandoval’s comments on tonight’s reunion about Rachel. No matter how you feel about her it was gross and disgusting.

THIS MOVIE, IDEA OF YOU IS ABOUT A 40 YO single mom, who got divorced a year ago, and hasn't dated, shes happy, she works full time, and enjoys her life to THE FULLEST, and just so happens to have to step up and take her daughter and her daughters friends to Coachella to see this band August Mood, bc the dead beat dad and stepmom or dads gf end up having to go to the office instead, SMH The band, which is like NSYNC in todays age lol, hot young guys in their 20s who dance and sing lol. SOO Anne who's the single mom, takes her daughter and friends to Coachella and shes a typical 40 something mom who doesn't really kno the ins and outs of Coachella and where the bathrooms are and how to do things or handle things wit the teenage era lol, social media and all that, so she goes to the bathroom and it happens to be 1 of the singers of August moons private trailer, bc when she asked where the bathrooms were someone pointed that way and told her that's where they were lol WELL shes thinking its a public bathroom and its obv not so HAYES the singer from the band is in there and he comes outta the bathroom after she knocks thinking its public, and he comes out of the bathroom and looks at her like wtf are u doing in MY trailer lol, and she goes into the bathroom, gets done, and then comes out with him still sitting there on the couch, so she feels weird that while she went to the bathroom he was sitting right outside of it listening LMAO even tho he wasn't cuz its HIS trailer, BUT again SHE doesn't know that lol. SO they meet and he feels a strong connection off rip, so after Coachella he finds her at her work and goes there to see her, and buys everything in the art gallery which is HER gallery and they connect over ALOT of things that u wouldn't think a 40 YO and a 20 something yo would connect over, they fall in love and Anne from the begining doesn't understand that dating someone famous like HAYES comes wit a bunch of baggage and crazy stuff, ALOT of complications and judgement from the outside world obv, her daughter starts to get bullied at school and it basically becomes so hard for them to be together and be happy, HAYES is willing to give up EVERYTHING for Anne, he loves her, and shes kinda on the fence the whole time I felt like she wasnt letting her gaurd down fully. Like FOR ME I'm a single mom of 2 girls younger under 12, and I JUST turned 35 SMH and I felt I related REALLY well to this movie, I mean I'll never meet anyone famous lol but I felt like women MY age 30+ dating is HELL!!!! SMH lol I was with their dad for over 14 years and was physically and mentally abused the whole time and after, so were my kids, so I felt like I related bc I would DEFF date a younger man like Hayes IF he had the same goals and dreams as this guy in this movie, Hayes is VERY mature for 24 and knows what he wants and I feel like he really helped Anne and open her eyes to A LOT of things she felt and how she wanted her life to be like, he helped her feel AMAZING about herself and her situation and THATS WHAT EVERY woman needs in life!!!! A HAYES CAMPBELL LOL THIS MOVIE WAS TRULY AMAZING AND I LOVED IT ALOT CLEARLY!!!!!!!! lol
