as a flute main, shooting the flutes backwards is cursed
also some tips on using flutes : (if you are interested)
1) always have a radar, that way you know where your opponents are.
2) if you see an opponent coming around the corner, get your flutes prepared. and when peeking wait for 3 seconds if they are really close, 2 if they are further away.
3) if you are behind an unexpecting target, point the lasers down to the floor, not at the enemy, this way they dont know they are about to experience an impending doom. when you hear your rockets coming down, then you point it at your target and hopefully 1 shot them/cripple them.
4) make sure to use flutes as a more support weapon. shoot at people that are fighting teammates, that way you can stay healthy enough to disintegrate the entire team.
ofc, these are only the basics, there is stuff like behind-wall shots and using the laser to guide the rockets in weird ways but i hope this inspired someone to use these things.
Thank you brother. I just used the nest and was not happy with it. I’ve lost hope with rockets but I haven’t tried the flute yet. 🤣for the record nest and beginner rockets are my first I haven’t tried the others but I want to try something new. Don’t want to be energy user forever
Damn,learning the flute is hard as learning to build a good heli for the first time.
@fidel1994faa the learning curve is extremely hard, but when you learn hiw to use these things properly, you will be looking at the map so much more differently. a couple things to warn you about though.
1) they need an elevated vehicle to work properly, like a hover or spider, that way the lasers don't catch the ground.
2) enemies pushing you is an issue, especially when its more than one due to the amount of time needed to set up a volley and the reloading time.
3) sudden movement from enemies is enough to mess up your barrage.
4) mufucken ARGUS
5) cloaked opponents will make the lasers go through them, so it will most likely make you miss.
it's a huge rabbit hole these weapons, but looking at the other hand, they are the most versatile and most overpowered piece of equipment when in the right situation, right hands and a tiny bit of luck. gl if you are getting them

I considered using then in air battles. Do you have any tips for that?
Maybe as a minor buff, they could make the laser designator do heating (but no damage). That way, you have the choice of either going for max flight time from the back, or trying to get the most out of really beaming your target when you get rushed and doing a little more support work for your team.
nah, they are fine as they are EXCEPT for the horrible turning speed of the rockets and the overall traveling speed of rockets. they should just increase those parts instead of giving it a sun ray attack.

I've only ever seen one player who was amazing with flutes they need a buff but not for the masters
Everytime I hear "reverse build" I get goosebumps when Goliaths were strong. I remember 1 of those with relic cannon destroying everything in the map.
In the spirit of loving unloved rockets... I'm working on a Hippogriff Tow Trombone. Not saying it's gonna be good, but there's potential for fun to be had.
I was thinking of trying it with the new ghost cabin, since you can just cloak up and fire it safely. It'd have to be armorless though.
Hey id love to see a pyre build soon. Im curious of your thoughts on in after so many updates. I use them frequently and i got a pretty nice hover build on the exhibition as well. What about using them with the hippogriffs perk?
it sucks that the dusk and steppespider cabins don't effect the flute. so you can only buff the reload and or the explosion radius
Ive tested for the steppe cabin they do work with the flutes makes them faster and reduces dmg
i tested and it doesn't. does the exact same damage to the test orb in the test area
@@iceboundglaceon weird when I test it the dmg is slightly weaker with the steppe spider cab. Its small but noticeable
you trippin, a single flute with 0 charge on distance does 60 damage regardless of whether you're using the steppe cab or not. steppe cab doesn't boost it's speed nor reduce it's damage.
Those were really fun games. If my structure didn't lose the weapon in the last game it would have been a victory.

We have aim lock for wheels and tracks. Doesn't work on hovers or legs and omni wheels

Slow missles , manually tracked, just use pyres lol
pyres:
-can attack quickly
-click and run away
-easy to get into and get bored of
-no perk
flutes:
-versatile af
-hard to get into but almost addicting to play after understanding them more
-extremely skillbases
-a variety of playstyles
-the perk is absolutely awesome
if your a person looking for a simple build, get pyres.
if you're looking for a challenge and achieve more, get flutes.
@@redacto_plpeople forget that the purpose of the game is to make interesting builds to destroy others. Winning is the goal but the process is the main objective. People equate winning to having fun. But it's not.
I make silly builds to see how well they do and usually if I can survive to not be the first casualty and take someone out, it's a success. The entertainment is the process of development, not loot. Many players would do better to play CoD or Fortnite if all they want to do is aim for wins

Flutes used to fly ALOT longer than that !
So i think the flutes changed with the penetration changes and that's why they maybe feel so weak

The 2 second hit... he says "not much damage"... yet it was over 1400 damage, the most damage of all the hits including the 10 second hits.

cool vid I love the flutes but the tracking is ass. and I believe the TOW is the most unloved weapon its so bad rn only 200 damage per hit :(
I think Cyclones need a nerf. Maybe less damage or higher ps?
Higher PS or energy req. triple cyclone is just insane for only 12 energy. At near full wind up it shreds anything and as it's an auto cannon it's got great range with minor accuracy issues.
