    There were supposed to be screams every time you crashed and there’s a theory that in crash mode all the horns that you hear are from people’s heads being pressed against the steering wheel...it was supposed to be a darker title until EA took over

      It’s fucked idk if it’s this one or revenge but all the sound files are exactly 6.66 mb or kg don’t remember which is even creepier tbh

    Beta Burnout 3 had the same psychology of Hotline Miami: rewards for atrocities, but atrocities still. And the game reminds this to you.

    The beta is exactly why I want to make a PC port of Burnout 3 because Renderware is universal. I'd start with the demo and if a beta ever reached out I would like to blend it with the demo to make what Burnout 3 should've been... The greatest arcade racer. They removed so much from the game I would've appreciated more growing up. It's a shame Burnout 3 was never close to my heart though.

      A lot of cars were reworked, indicators were cut, a composed soundtrack was scrapped in place of EA Trax, a whole class was scrapped, the damage model got reworked as well, Alaska was cut from the crash nav, a x3 pickup was cut, a bunch of sounds went unused or scrapped, manual transmission was cut, and there's a lot more but it's just small details.

      @@racedriver43IMO it’s good the composed soundtrack got cut in 3. The series became 10x better when the games introduced real songs starting with Burnout 3. Can’t imagine how boring/lackluster the games would feel if Revenge, Dominator, Legends, and Paradise all had a composed soundtrack like 1 & 2 vs. the great music that are in the games today

    Burnout is supposed to make crashes cool, beta burnout made crashes scary. And after readi g comments with beta related with another konami game... personally I'm glad the crashes arent as scary anymore

    At least when Disney made Split/Second they came up with lore that all those cars are remote controlled and the whole city is basically one big action movie studio right in the intro to keep it E+10

      What i noticed is even after you crashed the parts didn’t freeze if you car stopped flying around or rolling over like the final version
      Your doors also move like paradise if your car was heavily damaged but in the beta and after a takedown, you can’t see the bar claims during the time watching your rival has been taken down
      Another thing was the boost was really different in demo (similar to burnout 2) but in beta it’s accurate to the final version but all it missed was the camera shake, the brutal boost sound was there

    Burnout 3 Takedown was already the most realistic car damage game for 2004.
    In the Early Beta (maybe Alpha) the car damage was incredibly better.
    The end of the beta is already similar to the final game.
    And the early Beta makes Burnout 2's gameplay feel...

    I would've preferred this version over the release. From the heavily aggressive AIA, the Impact Time Horror Sounds, the extra car colours (that green Compact looks dope), and the message telling you you're one crash away from totalled.....

    The doors in beta moved as they were damaged which confuses me
    They also moved as you crashed and don’t freeze like in final version after a certain amount of time
    Doors would likely to fall out but with that apart, this game is too good for it’s age compared to modern games

      Hmm. I tried converting the beta cars from the demo to the original PS2 version. It crashes the game. Meaning the cars are also made form different format.

      Nope, maby if a skilled modder can format them into the files of the original game. I can tough replace cars from the original game into like, trams or traffic cars.
