This is a live performance by magician Ryan Hayashi, performing his Michael Jackson Magic Act in Tamm, Germany, on August 4, 2023. This act closed the evening show at the 2023 DJKB Gasshuku (Annual JKA Karate Training Camp). JKA Karate Masters Hideo Ochi, Yuko Hirayama and Tatsuya Naka were at this event.
Ryan Hayashi, 50 years old in this performance, will be competing with this act in the category "Manipulation" at the MAGICA Vorentscheidung (Preliminary Eliminations Competition) in October 2023. This act was three years and four months old in this recording.
Ryan began work on this competition act in April 2020, at the beginning of the worldwide Corona pandemic lockdown. It has been a dream of Ryan's since he was 12 years old to perform a stage manipulation magic act, but he became known for his close up magic. In the two decades from 2001 to 2022, Ryan was known as a close up performer, with most of his acts standing or sitting behind a table. This will be his first time competing with a stage act.
