The depth in SIU's makes so many other series seem puny in comparison, the sheer time span of everything is so meticulously detailed, near nothing is irrelevant in the tower, and i hope this show takes off with season 2 and people get to see this show for how amazing it could be, if we get a long running series out of this, similar to MHA i could die a happy man

I read the webtoon a LOOOONG time ago and have discovered so many more great webtoons, but tower of god remains UNFORGETTABLE. SIU really is a genius.

But for webtoon recommendations with action, fantasy or similar vibes to Tower of God I would say “Dice”. I also liked *eleceed* (mainly action with some cute comedic scenes), *jungle juice* (action), *omniscient reader* (action) and *study group* (action)

To me, even season 2 felt like a prologue. Season 3 around chapter 50 was when it felt like the story really started

Ohhh my god. I thought this animation was left in the dust after 2+ years. The first season animation and feeling was perfect for the webtoon. There is so much content that they could make from the insane amount of chapters as well, if this continued long-term I'd love to see the Hell Train arc.

Is this just my hot take but I thought the Hell Train arc was mid. I dropped the manhwa during the hell train arc many years ago. I lost interest and just couldn't keep track of all of the characters. I've always been meaning to go back but the task of remembering all the different plotlines just seems too daunting

I REALLY hope it's a 20+ episode season this time so we can get an amazing fleshed out story ending at the end of the Workshop. If it's only 13 episodes again, I pray they don't rush. The Hand of Arlen is the PERFECT place to end the season if it's 13 episodes. That arc was made to be the ultimate cliffhanger

From how much they shortened and cut a lot of things in the prologue, I didn't expect they would make a S2. I'm interested to see how they will pull off the "real story" in Season 2. This season is one of the longest in ToG so far.
I suspect the answer is “split it into multiple seasons.”
@@Tortferngatr I would be surprised if they stayed faithful and cover everything. The prologue (S1) should have taken atleast 26 episodes.
That’s true but it’s good and bad that it’s this long since they have all the source material they need and as long as they follow the story events closely I think that ToG will have a lot of potential.
@@turfgaming2149 the potential was already reduced when they decided to shorten or cut out a lot of the explanations, dialogues, and interactions of the characters in the prologue.
Though the adaptation of S1 ain't that bad (animation and soundtrack) but could have been better (writing and execution).
they'll probably handle it like season one. cut everything out that doesnt have a red line that forms a story for everyone to understand.
I just hope season 2 is not rushed in anyway and they take their time on it to make a masterpiece out of it
Season 1 was just part 1 of the webtoon (yeah they skipped a few things, but nothing too important). PART 2 however of this comic is VERY LONG it's enough for like 4-5 seasons lol (part 3 is currently releasing weekly to bi-weekly)... I hope they just make 2 24 episode seasons or something

It really didnt felt rushed, also, in the next episodes in the webtoon there's a lot to actually skip, a lot of things not important at all, so they will do it again because it really feels that some dialogues are 0 important for the story... and I say this having read the entire thing recently, the anime was really a great choice.
The webtoon pacing in the beginning of part 2 was pretty slow and a lot of it wasn’t really relevant to the bigger plot points later on so hopefully they won’t waste needles time on that

Crunchyroll can’t be as clueless as to think you can drop a trailer with nothing new in it and then go completely silent for a year and expect any anime that isn’t absolutely huge worldwide to keep it’s fanbase. The least you can do is drop announcements, updates or new footage whenever you possibly can. If your marketing team can’t figure out why that would be probably the best thing for any anime release on your website or why this is the worst thing you can do to an anime in production, you need a new team.

@@Fresh93.27 tower of god is better than solo leveling in terms of story, character development, and world building. I’ve been finished solo leveling. The only thing solo leveling has is the cool fight scenes but even that is close compared to TOG
@@Leado not only the the fight scenes but the constant peak, the story progression never plateaued until the very end puts Solo Leveling up there with the Best Webtoons imo.

Tower Of God is simply a series you cannot miss. In today's day of unoriginal plots and world building, SIU has created a masterpiece. My favourite series I have ever read/watched, alongside tbate which is just as good imo.

@@JabJabBinks yeah it's great. Do keep in mind that ToG created (as far as I'm aware) a lot of trope that other manwha can now simply gloss over since they assume the reader is already familiar with those concepts. After floor 0 (manwha part 1/ anime season 1) the pace keeps getting faster

I just caught up to the Webtoon about a month ago because I never thought we were gonna get this and it was finally time to do it. And then we get this beautiful news. For anyone who was on the fence during season 1 I PROMISE you this series is worth the investment. It's long, and it starts of pretty slow. But the characters are incredible, the art style is gorgeous as Siu got better and better at his craft, and the world is just so god damn INTERESTING. Super hyped for this, and I hope it gives the series enough of a bump in popularity to keep it going.

season 1 of the webtoon is literally just garbage, in terms of art quality. it just looks horrible, which is why its hard for friends of mine to get into it.
but man, once you start with season 2 and the art becomes acceptable it startes to take off.

24 episodes won't be enough to adapt all of season 2. We'll need 50 episodes. Unless they divide season 2 in two parts of 24 episodes each

FINALLY! I was beginning to lose hope for it ever getting a second season. Honestly, I didn't expect much from the first one, but after hearing Kevin's music, the overall visual design and the intriguing storyline I just fell in love with it. Can't wait to see how they'll adapt the continuation after reading through the manhwa.

Legit thought TOG was just an experiment to animate to see how many people would like it bc there aren't many manhwa which are animated. To see it getting a second season was so unexpected but also felt the emotions of it all over again and the hype it brought to me when I watched the first season. Can't wait to see the workshop arc animated thou, we are all in for a surprise.

I just got into anime last year and the consensus seems to be that we're in somewhat of a golden age of anime with so many instant classics. I can't wait for season 2 of Tower of God, obviously the story is compelling but it's one of my favorite animation art styles in all of anime, judging purely by the visual art style it's easily in my top 5!

First season adapted up to chapter 78. It's been already 3 years and a half since then. Last chapter released on the webcomic until today's date is chapter 590 (and it's still going, without any glimpse of an ending so far). Assuming the author keeps writing about 40 chapters/year and the pace of the anime adaptation continues as we've seen so far: even if the story is concluded within the next couple of years (which we have no evidence to believe it's going to happen) it would still take 20+ years (seven more season or so) to finally reach this series final point (if there is ever one). So, as someone who came to know ToG story due to the anime adaptation and ended up reading 400+ chapters of the webcomic after that (until the end of season 2), I feel kind sad that we'll probably never get to see it being fully adapted into anime after all...
