Fact that this has 600+ chapters and still ongoing and being a seasonal anime this is going to take more years than the one piece đ
And the webtoon is probably going to last a good 5 years at least. Definitely going to need to be a weekly series.

600 chapters is nothing. They are serialising lord of the mysteries now of course only volume 1. The whole novel has 1400 chapters and this is only 1st book.

I donât get why people disliked the first seasons Animation. This new one retains some of the characteristics but looks a lot less unique.
prefer old artstyle, felt iconic and unlike other anime slop that comes out each season.
I agree, I appreciate they somewhat tried to keep the integrity of the old artstyle even with the studio change. đ
because it is not what it is in manhwa(webtoon) and also it had almost no impacts during fights it was flat on purpose I know but it almost got too much flat for any interest ... btw I did enjoy s1 not complaining about it but as someone who has read it this will definitely grow more on u with time

While unique it had to go for a number of reasons.
The biggest being that the artistic license they took with their depiction of shinsu was going to directly conflict with the entire world of ToG and make every fight in the future look like garbage. There's supposed to be a very deep variety in how shinsu is used and looks, but in the season 1 art style it mostly got boiled down into this watery fluid getting shot around. The new style is much closer to the source material.

Im gonna defend the animation. Season 1 actually followed the manwha on animation. The art style did change in season 2 so the anime is actually following the manwha so far. I understand season 1 was unique but as long as they follow the manhwa i wont complain.
ehh it just stinks cause the animation was one of the reasons i think a lot of people liked the first season, me included. It gave it a fresh and new vibe, it also felt really dramatic at times, while still being soft in other scenes. They are now probs gonna turn this into a cheap show to produce since its so long, which just sucks over all

Yes, the new animation style is so washed out and blurry. All the color has been drained out and it looks far less vibrant. Looks like budget has fallen hard

Tower of God is for now the best animated Mawha by far.
Solo Leveling and God of Highschool had great animation but their story / univers felt as deep as a puddle.
God of Highschool got screwed over in it's pacing tbf
I mean, God of Highschool got horrendous pacing but tbf both it and Solo Leveling and God of Highschool only have one season, and the lore for both goes a lot deeper in their respective manwhas. Not to say Tower of God doesn't, but still, they're both only one season in, so chill out with them

Season 1 of solo leveling was literally only the intro. Season 2 is where it really begins since he finally unlocks his monarch abilities at the end of season 1. I'm a huge fan but even I can accept that the first 3 events were mid.. season 2 and onwards should be peak.

That plus the art style feels so early 2010âs anime compared to the other ânew gensâ. Feels like an anime you would watch in a small box with 2x speed in the best way

I wonder how they're gonna adapt this. It feels weird they they're also tiling this as Return of the prince, since that arc only lasted a very short 35 chapters, which is basically a quarter of the length of the first season with their 100+ chapters.
You can forget that the longer into the series we are, chapters became longer

but this style is closer to the Webtoon style also the pacing seems to follow the Webtoon so far page to page and the animation seems better too
@@symphonixblades The webtoon changes art style as well. Look at any thing from season 1 compared to season 3, its not even close. I think its just the artist getting better over time.

The old animation style had something special, it looked like someone had taken watercolors and wax crayons and combined them. The old style had something iconic, something artistically free and invigorating, all the scenes and colors seemed so alive and active. The new style is standard nonsense without love or imagination to save money and that really makes me sad.
but this new style is actually closer to the Webtoon artstyle. Also better animation too
This art style is better suited for what's to come in the Webtoon.
I take that in favor of more episodes to actually adapt the manwha without fatal cuts to the story.

there is always going to be things cut out bro, it's a part of adaptations, it's like anything like movies and TV shows or any form of adaptation, scenes which aren't as important as others can and most likely will be cut.
â@@connorayt It's true, but it's unfortunate that the parts they cut for ToG were some of the parts that really made the fans love the series. So you are getting the good meat but none of the excellent gravy. A good show isn't easy to do, but it's common enough. And those details are what take a show over the top. Imo ToG is top tier precisely because of some of the scenes that were cut out in the anime.
Dont get me wrong I still really enjoy the adaptation. It's just a shame really.

Don't forget every frame costs money, so when making the anime they make the decision on what to be cut and what to not be cut to save money, but also because they need to fit all the content into a specific runtime, despite it being unfavourable to us viewers, it is purely logical and justifiable. That and the studio animating ToG doesn't seem to have much of a budget, and if they have got a good budget then I am disappointed with how they've utilised it. Anyway, my point is, there are many factors that have a play in cut content, so thinking that It'll be bad with cut scenes or thinking that it should have no cut scenes is purely unrealistic. I do get what you're saying though, it can be disappointing, but It's also just reality.

Why would you green light a story as rich and big, with fights as huge as as u can imagine⊠animated like itâs slice of life⊠with no care. Itâs literally throwing away YOUR money, and pooping on the fans. But I guess weâll see the final verdict when it starts smh. The pacing was kinda fast but overall it wasnât bad. I liked it
I think they wanted to get to the mystery guy faster, in the manhwa it was a couple of chapters before you even see him. I was convinced that the blonde dude was gonna be the new MC

Aside from a few minor changes and cutting some dialogue (tho the dialogue they cut wasn't important to the story) this sneakpeak covered chapters 0 and 1 of S2. We see mystery guy at the end of chapter 1 . So it's pretty quick in the Manhwa as well .

To be honest, it was one of the big three at one point along... had TOG, God of high school, and noblesss.
I wish the same thing because noblesse was my first manwha before TOG. It was so good, and the anime skipped so much.
I wish the same Noblesse is my all time favorite manhwa and I still reread it so many times
