My musical inspiration and idol,- jazz harmonica musician Toots Thielemans passed away Monday (August 22, 2016). He was still performing two years ago at 92, and died in his sleep at 94. Can't ask for more than that! We last saw him in LA at the Catalina Bar and Grill and he was warm and gracious with us fans. .This video was the first time I saw a live performance of what is my favorite album: "Brasil Project". Pure joy and communication with these amazing Brazilian musicians! RIP, dear man, you brought so much joy to the world!
I've always wanted to see Toots. I listen to him all the time. I only recently heard about his passing. Rest in peace, dear man. You have given me hours of pleasure.
Toots is a master! He did not need anyone else to be complete! Only for the fact he was able to meet so many great stars of Brazilian music it was quiet enough... But he made more... He was not really satisfied with enough... Toots is alive forever!

I never saw this Great Musician in person but once I heard him I was obsessed with the way he mastered his instruments a once in a lifetime Legend. Reminds me of BB King always humbled. He is apart of the fabric of our lives.

Love the show, but Dori has got to go, I'm just hating, Back in 1992 when Dori was sighning my CDs, during his Brazilian serenata tour in the States, I asked Dori Caymmi if he could name one of his next piece "Vivians Melody". I thought it a catchy title plus the name of my daughter, he had written a piece called Gabrielas song, the name of my other daughter, he said it was not easy to name a song or Piece, but he'll see what he could do On his Next Album there wasn't anything close to that title, so I boycotted his music 😝

my late father played with him in the studio. I am, like my father, a guitarist. Dutch b.t.w ,, not Belgian.,such a sweet man he was too
