- This CZcams tutorial is about the 7 factors a physician needs to consider when choosing an executive MBA program
This video is one in a series of youtube videos that will help MDs interested in getting an MBA. I have just gone through the entire process of applying to business school as a full time practicing medical doctor. What I realized is that there is a lack of a dedicated centralized source of key information that would be helpful for clinicians interested in learning about getting an MBA. The information is out there. However, it is very disjointed and not organized. I spent many hours researching this process. My goal is to save you countless hours of research that I did in learning about this process and condense it down to a series of high yield short informative youtube videos.

Very nice content
What a profoundly insightful video Dr. Tomihama, I would like to know how does the EMBA program with healthcare specialisation of Baylor University Dallas campus stands out?
I'm an international medical graduate with an M.D and would like to enter into healthcare management as opposed to the traditional match and residency process.
Thanks.
Hi Dr. Tomihama, thanks for the helpful video! I am a practicing physician and also considering Whartonâs emba program. Iâm very motivated to learn and work hard but have concerns about managing the workload on top of my 60-hour work week (Iâve read that the wemba course load is identical to the full time course load). Has it been pretty manageable so far? How many hours per week (per day?) are you studying or doing homework? Thanks for your time.
Hi s C,
Since we have only begun classes in May, I only have 2 months of experience. But I would say that it is about 20 hours/week. It has been manageable. It just forces you to be very efficient with time management. I read/listen/study anytime I have some down time. Between cases at work, during my commute, after kids go to bed. But, so far, it has been totally worth it.
@@roger_tomihama_m.d. Thatâs so reassuring to hear! Thanks for the reply and good luck moving forward. Iâll likely check in with you again later in the year. Just subscribedđ
