I can see that The Warning effect is setting in on both of you. hahaha. The more you hear, the more you love! After a little while you will begin to understand it is impossible to pick a favorite song or favorite sister! LOL. They are on their way to becoming Legends!
Metallica told the _Blacklist_ artists to keep the lyrics but turn the songs inside out, play them backwards, whatever. Very few bands had the guts to do it but The Warning is fearless. And yes, this song kicks ass live. I've seen them do it with Dany on all the lead vocals and I was there the one time that they did it live onstage with Alessia.
That other singer is Canadian Pop singer Alessia Cara, when they recorded this song they couldn't get together because of Covid so Alessia recorded her part in Canada and The Warning recorded their part in Mexico and they Asked David Bendeth the Producer of the Error Album to remix the song and put it together and they had about a week to record the song and get it to Metallica for their Blacklist Album,£ and they did the Same for the Video Alessia recorded her Part in Canada and sent it to Mexico where The Warning recorded the Video and they Projected Alessia on wall, Alessia and The Warning did get together last Year in LA at the Troubadour and they played the Song Live.
I'm still stunned by the creativity that the ladies came up with for this remake - and they had only 1 week to do so and it was during COVID travel restrictions with Alessia in Canada and The Warning in Mexico. Metallica's invite for the Black List album said to do whatever you want, just keep the lyrics the same -- and the ladies ran with it!! Reversing the song seems brilliant, going from soft to a hard finish really helps incorporate Alessia's R&B voice at the start and definitely fits in with how The Warning loves to build a song up to climatic finish. As mentioned already, the version the perform live is a bit harder and Dany really channels her inner Hetfield - the Teatro Metropolitan version has fantastic sound and video - definitely worth checking it out regardless of whether or not you make a reaction video to it - you'll be happy!!
Jason, you just think this is your favorite version of this song just wait till you check this song live at the Teatro Metropolitan concert. Daniela's vocals are so much more raw and raspy and the lightshow is just freaking awesome as well as the video and audio are all pro shot. (check out everything from that show) I also wanna be clear that i mean no disrespect to miss Alessia Cara or her vocals, i just like dany's voice up in my face a bit more with Alessia more in the background in their live version. great react as always guy, peace✌🤘

If you want a Warning classic Enter Sandman cover, watch their video from 2014 when they were 9 (Ale), 12 (Pau), and 14 (Dani). They did this cover to show their grandparents what they were working on. It was too big to e-mail so their dad posted it to CZcams. A while after it was posted, they went on vacation and Luis' (their dad's) phone exploded when he turned it on after they got home. That's how they were discovered. You will not be disappointed. At that age, her bass was too heavy for Ale to carry.
Great reaction, they certainly took a big risk when they took the song apart and rebuilt it but the result shows their talent when it comes to music composition. The next logical step is to view the live HQ version from Teatro. They have refined the song even more for their live performances. Well worth the watch.

Of the 53 covers on the Blacklist album, to me this is by far the best of the bunch, which is why I suspect they put it first on the album. And there were lots of well established artists and band on that album, but these 21 years old and under girls surpassed them.
I agree that the Blacklist saves the best for first, but the real reason it's first is almost surely more prosaic -- Enter Sandman was the first song on the Black Album, and Alessia Cara (it's listed as Alessia Cara and The Warning) was the first artist in alphabetical order among those who chose to do Enter Sandman. The rest of the tracks on the album are in that order.

I have to admit, I am not a Metallica fan, and I was sick of this song, until this version came along. A lullaby where Alessia very sweetly puts you to bed, then Dany rouses the troups, Pau shares a little prayer, and the angel chorus comes to sing you to sleep, then Boom, the hammer drops. I think of this very much as the female version of the tale. So good. Delicate, powerful, soothing, strong, gentle, fierce-all at the same time. I love this one. Yeah, like others have said, the live from Teatro version is icing on the cake. Funny how for nearly all of us, our favorite The Warning song is the last one we heard.
