This sport is much more entertaining I bet to play but for sure it’s way more entertaining to watch than every other sport people love watching I think this sport is underrated
@John doue Quebec thats the magic of it. every sports needs a limitation to be challenging. football is the constant pressure of being tackled. soccer, you are limited to using your feet. for ultimate, its a test of your entire bodies' cohesiveness. not only do you need the explosiveness to be able to sprint down the field, you also need the dexterity to position the disc in the air where you want it. without the limitation of remaining stationary while in possession will strip ultimate of what makes it ultimate.

yea that got me too. I had to watch it a few times to make sure I saw it correct.
Some of these plays are actually godly. That behind the back and the first inbound save were both nuts. The catches are crazy good too but having the technical ability to do what those guys did with a disk is waaaaaavy.
Are AUDL rules different or how is that not a double team?

Nah. His first step was to plant his pivot foot.
@Cucazer Yep, he had control of the disc and had a pivot foot established and then took a step to move his pivot foot up.
I had to watch it bunch of times because it was a tough call but after slowing the slow motion, I would say that it wasn't. Because at the moment that he catches the disc, his pivot foot is the one on the ground, yes, but he is in such an awkward posture that he had to use his non pivot foot to stop a potential face plant. And from there he took a step forward to anchor his pivot. So yes it can all look a little weird but considering the moment he stopped the rotation of the disc and how much he was attacking it, he was fine. Just like someone takes a couple step to stop from a run, he took those steps to take his balance and anchor himself.
He would of get called out for another step tho, definitively, he was really at his limit.

Is there no "Free Safety" or "Goalie"? Seems like these bombs wouldn't be as frequent if these teams had someone by the endzone.
Nah, coverage in ultimate is usually all man-to-man. If you set up a zone to stop deep throws you will give up a ton of short throws because of how much faster the disc can travel over short distances than a defender running out of a zone to try and make a stop.
