  • The Nodiz Gen X is the latest ignition only ECU from Motorsport Electronics. In this video we explore some of the features and demonstrate it in action, when fitted to a Zetec powered Westfield on our rolling road.
The video was actually filmed around 18 months ago prior to the release of the GenX. The ECU is now readily available for purchase via the link below:

Nice. What other components would I need to run Nodiz on my Pinto? Another coilpack? flywheel sensor and trigger wheel? My pinto has carb and the standard distributor från early 80s. I got a set of blackbird carbs and a nice shiny manifold from danst on my shelf for a future upgrade. I bet the ignition system needs an upgrade as well

Does this ecu also cater for the vvt function on the st170 engine?

Did the Carbs require much in the way of re-jetting , Just curious. Think your vids are great and I had a set of ZZR 600 carbs from you fitted on my pinto engined Marlin Berlinetta many years ago.Still running great .

Glad your liked your kit, the zzr600’sc are a good set 👍 we normally supply carbs with 150 as a safe starting point, but quite often end up a couple of sizes smaller in the Dyno (on a zetec 2L for example).

Just wondering whether the BHP figures are at the rear wheels or are they adjusted to show output at the flywheel?

      Power is at the Flywheel.

thanks , I was hoping it was at the wheels as I'm building a similar spec, but 1.8 Zetec

@@sevaun unfortunately not but then all dynos are different. We normally see mid-150’s from the 1800 and they're a bit more rev happy.
