- NOTE: When I talk about the Hunter, I am talking about a SPECIFIC Hunter type, not Hunters in general. I am VERY aware that Hunters were in the first game. This Hunter mentioned is a Hunter R which is a variant, just like Gamma and Beta were in Nemesis. Thank you for all the comments though!
If you know of anymore, let me know in the comments! - Hry
It is 12/26/2019, I am a 28 years old man, and one of the biggest disappointments in my life, was never being able to open that door in the second floor of the police station, I can remember my friends telling me behind that door was a room full of weapons or things like that, but you sir, today you allow me to complete a part of my life as a gamer, thanks.
Really? I'm surprised how many people are saying that. I thought it was kinda obvious but, that's just me.
@@corneliussnow8215 I was like 8 when I started playing this game, I think I was not that perceptive to notice that. I just checked a map of the police station and indeed. It also surprise me how many people also had this same confusion, and how Ink Ribbon is the first person I have seen speaking about it.
@@jhonwalterariasocampo3146 That makes sense. I was older when I first played it as I was probably 2-3 when RE2 came out. Due to the nature of the early games, checking the map was something I did alot so naturally, I put two and two together to understand what was behind the locked door.
I used to play the game many times for hours on ends, the truth is it just can’t be open. End of story.
When I was a kid. My group played this game. One of my friend said that mysterious door lead to a secret room of police department contain special gun, until I opened a map and found out it's the one Sherry crawl. We laugh for days because his stupid lies.
Oh good old memories.
I had a friend tell me there was a super long bowie knife you could get from a guy in the sewers that could one shot decap all regular zombies.
He said he only found him once and he climbed out the hole Sherry escapes out of in the Claire story.
Kid video game rumors were so amusing back then
There is one simple detail, not sure if it's an easter egg, but while playing as Chris in Extreme Battle, you notice how he can handle the Upgraded shotgun like a veteran, while Leon handle it like an inexperienced rookie.
What were Coca Cola so pissed about? Were they afraid someone was gonna Play resident evil 2 and go "Hmm Id love to buy some Coca Cola now so I can see the logo for it. Oh wait! Theres a Coca Cola machine with the logo in this game! Never mind. I dont want one now"
Big Smoke No people were blowing people's heads off with an Enhanced Shotgun when there was a queue at Coca Cola vending machines thinking they were zombies. It was very serious.
@@FlameBunny Because they were using their brand without permission. It's lame how copyright works, but they had no choice but to ask for it to be removed. It made it seem like they were a sponsor of resident evil.
They just don't want re at the time to make money off there product somehow, and it's just so that they can't sue if they want to.
Big Smoke been a while since I have seen any Coca Cola product placement in movies not even the blink and you'll miss it kind like in rambo three
Sounds like a Coca Cola fail :L Free product placement and they had it removed.. Oh the stupidity
Oh wow... I was just as curious about that locked door. I remember because back in the day, a newly friend of mine who had a PSX, played RE2 before I met him so he was familiar with the RPD station when I watched him play RE3 for the first time. He thought this door would be unlocked on RE3, but he kept wondering what was behind the door as well. Now I know..
I picked that up on my Own Years ago. Just Running Around to see where it was Matched Up. I didn't even look at the Map. lol
Welp, most RE players doesn't actually use the map. Finishing it the first time running around and checking up things. I didn't even remembered this door until i finished it. As long as we're progressing in the game, we didn't actually care unless you're lost. But oh well. This was actually when i was 10 😅
The kind of video you start to watch thinkin "cmon, i know all about that game" ...and then...BOOM !!! Back to the future 3 picture xD
They have a pic of MJ in his bulls jersey slam dunking to
I’m not sure that pic is from BTTF...the hat is different on the misses in the real photo
Wow, thanks for clarifying up that weird red door. I struggled with both Clair and Leon to find a way to open it or find an alt route to it. So glad this video clarifies what is perhaps the biggest mystery in all of RE2.
....how anyone took that blur of pixels and identified it as the Back to the Future 3 reference is BEYOND me. But between that and the hidden gate camera angle you got me a couple times, so kudos. Gotta love that old games can still surprise you with hidden details.
There is something similar in the Evil within which is no surprise since Shinji san was the director of the game shame he wasnt in the second... anyways where you sabe our game in tew there is a photo of the main hall of RE 1 , also like a ton of references to re 1 cool Little details ofc.
@Aetnik
TEW2 needed more Shinji and less Bethesda if you ask me. But more interesting, my girlfriend and I kind of think there may be some TEW references in the RE2 remake to honour Shinji. All the mannequins seem out of place otherwise, and Leon's noir outfit is almost identical to Seb's.
@@Gaff. indeed my thoughts as well thats why tew 2 didnt havetha powerful effect as 1 cause Bethesda attempt to believe they have the same ability as shinji san well nah thatsnever gonna happen andyeah ithought the same that noir Leon was more like Sebastian somehow in honor to its creator anyway hope Bethesda attempts to think again and gives thecontrol back to shinji if TEW 3 happens ever.
@Aetnik
Shinji stepped down of his own accord, but some of the comments he made have me thinking it's to do with publisher meddling. Ruins the potential of a lot of games. The people they had doing TEW2 all worked on the first game and probably could have done it in that style but were told not to. It's extremely rushed and I think that's because of disagreements between Tango and Bethesda as they ran out of time, and I think the focus on stealth was added later as a cover for the fact that the combat balance is really off. TEW1 has some oversights but it's clear they playtested it endlessly for balance. TEW2 doesn't feel playtested too much.
@@Gaff. yeah that sounds quitetheclassicgameindustry scenario as usual ,heyshinji san is not dead is he there was rumorsanddamn really got me down ,hope the news was false!! still i hope shinji open his own studio and créate another japanese survival horror franchise with totally his ideas.
i distinctly remember magnum being spelled "mugnum" on the original printing of the ps1 game
I was getting ready to comment the same thing lol
Was it not only the magnum parts?
There were a few translations that were butchered
The unopenable door is so easy to realise where and what it was don't get me wrong I tried to open it but knew why it was there plus the shotgun easter egg when u fire at the camera
Re2 og is love❤, re2 remake is 👎
Few things that i like about Original RE2:
1) Love the Save Room background Music
2) Love the RPD Main Hall Background Music
3) We get to explore the RPD Building alot something we can't do in RE3 because they barred most of the doors in RE3, i always wanted to be on the upper portion where we have an emergency ladder, at least in RE3 the ladder should've remained deployed so that we could be able to reach the upper section.
4) Love the Mr X, I didn't know that he was in the B scenario
5) Awesome story.
6) I even tried myself about the barred door, before the statue, i went to the corridor and saw the map, then i went to the opposite side of the door and again saw the map, it was the same door, in RE3 i saw the door, to this day i found it mysterious until i watched this video.
One Last thing: I want capcom to make a Resident Evil game, where all of the Characters exist, Leon, Claire, Chris, Carlos, Jill, Ada, Billy, Barry, Rebecca, Krauser and last but not least Albert Wesker, and all of them should meet each other, even though some of them have met but most of them didn't i.e Leon never met jill, Wesker, Carlos and Vice Versa.
And Billy
Most excellent video dude, really enjoyed this and your Resi 3 one :)
You would of thought Coca-Cola had the best people in marketing and advertising, yet they pull out of a free plug in such a popular game.
I ate a lot of Burger King's during this game.
Well in fairness how would they know it would become a classic but yeah boneyard move since there was no downside
OMG !!!! THAT DOOR BOTHERED ME SO MUCH THAT I CANT OPEN IT !!!!! I feel so relieved now XD
lol
Finally figure it out as well. Just took me like 20 years. Lol
did you never look at the map?
@@Psymon1471 My thoughts exactly...
lol where do you think Sherry crawled to after she went through that hole?
The gold emblem is made of gold and could have been salvaged from the site of the explosion. I am baffled how no one checked the map and figured out what that door was, it was the first thing I did upon encountering it
Surprisingly, this video actually had some Easter eggs I wasn't aware of lol you got a sub out of me. Great video!
Oh my good god! That gosh darn red door drove me mad! I was positive I’d missed something! I heard Barry’s magnum could be found in there, but you’ve literally just blown my mind! After all these years lmao! Thanks man, kudos to you!
Actually the Gold Emblem and the BTF photo was a new to me, the other ones I already knew but that was a good video, thanks!
BTW My game had the BLUE soda machines. I put my game on pr order and got one of the 1st copies way back in 1998. 😍
You have a real treasure right there!
mine does as well bought it on amazon
You can probably sell it for more the 1k
2:35 - I love how it changes from Coca Cola to "Regular Cola".
After decades of playing this...especially how much I’ve played this since the announcement of RE2 remake, I’ve never noticed any of these outside of Burger Kong & the locked boarded up door. I’ve only recently discovered the secret angle of the RPD gate completely by mistake a few months ago. Cool video.
I’m impressed. I am a huge resident evil 2 fan and I was convinced that there would be nothing here that I didn’t already know…boy was I wrong! Thanks for elaborating on that door too!!
Just finished replaying the game, so this video was great fun to watch!
Did you play as Leon or Claire?
@@ChrisSmith-lf1yu Claire A Leon B
@@KawaiiGames me x? Your mad he creeps me out 😂
The unopenable door had me too! I’m so glad you added that to the video!
Wow! Number 3 The mysterious locked door has bothered me for years, I gave up on what it could be. Thank you for finally revealing what it was :)
I was just thinking if I ever make a channel like this I'd search for really obscure and rare shit. And there you said it, good job with all the videos dude!
Good list. Bit late to the party but you missed a good one.
Mr Beans Mini (green and black car) near the beginning outside the liquor shop
Thanks a lot dude, for showing the secret of the door that never opens. Since I was 9 I wondered what was behind it and 16 years later you closed the case for me. Much appreciated 🙌
Some of your easter eggs are extremely informative. I didn’t know at all about the red door 🚪 the gold emblem and the Back to the Future 3 picture, who would’ve thought the developers would include such details!
I noticed "Elevater" in my first play through. It's one of my favorites. My sister's favorite RE mistake is "A dried up pumpkins are placed here" in RE3.
It also says "EMERGENCEY" right above it.
Watching from Chile, excellent video!! Subscribed.
I'm surprised you didn't include the special key you can get from the helicopter pilot zombie if you don't pick anything up before reaching the RPD. He appears outside and takes a lot of bullets to kill. The key unlocks a locker in the photo room and has outfits.
Brad Vickers*
@@chrisreposting7678 he does not deserve to have a name.
You mean “chicken heart” 😂🤙🏻
Definitely should have been mentioned in place of a few of these nonsense ones.
I'm glad Score PN sent me your way. I'm digging the content so far.
I only found that hidden camera angle once and couldn't convince anybody it existed! Thanks for revindicating me years later :)
- In the corridor that leads to the interrogation room you can see a wooden plank with "REDЯUM" written on it. A reference to The Shining (1980)
- When you are talking to Marvin you can see a locker named "JoJo", a possible reference to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
There are more easter eggs but I think you have covered a good amount of them. Good job 👍
The Shining was originally published in 1977
I've always wondered about that door. Thank you for that
You've missed a important one, in the stars office if you search Wesker's desk for 50 times you'll get a roll of film, and if you develop this film in the dark room you'll get a photo of Rebecca wearing a green RPD sportswear sitting down holding a basketball, which is one of the DLC costume you can buy in re0 hd.
You forgot to add how poorly photshop'd the pic was. That was the best thing about it.
Ugh that's no longer a secret everyone knows about that one
❤
True i saw this too
So true! A CLASSIC easter egg!! One of my all time favs.😍
Got a bonus one for you and anyone reading. When you find Marvin the first time the locker he's leaning on has "Jojo" written on it.Kamiya (Director) did confirm it is indeed a reference to Jojo's Bizzare Adventure.
"There's a kennel in the back of the building, inside the kennel is"- uhhh, no I mean on top of the kennel is a little sign that also reads JoJo.
Funny, given that in part 3 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, JoJo was locked up, albeit not in a kennel
I just discovered your channel you’re awesome dude.
You can find Delorian in this game too. Right at the beginning of second scenario!
Awesome video man. Funny thing and I swear by this, the part where you mentioned shooting the screen, I had the most random moment ever in RE1 the original where when Jill kicked a zombie's head the face landed right in front of my screen. It was actually the first zombie you meet.
Awesome videos man!!! :) lovin it
After seeing this and the results screen video, youve earned yourself a new subscriber
Great video dude. Thank you!
Great video. Thanks for the upload. I was actually expecting the Remake looked like a remastered game, but unfortunately it was not. So I would keep playing the original RE2 game.
I only knew 1 of these. Very cool video!
You miss the welcome party sign for leon it was spelled "wellcome leon"
I think he didn't mention it cause that's something a lit of people already know

Love your channel ....SUBSCRIBED❤
About the shooting the screen, you can also find it in the first resident evil. I'm playing the first 3 games after a long time and I didn't know about this in any of the games, but when I played the Chris scenario during the second fight with the snake which she opens a hole on the ground, in that room there's a camera angle that you can shoot the camera. I gotta say I just stumbled upon your channel at the right time and I'm loving it, but maybe you already covered this in another video. In any case, keep up the good content.
the game I played had the original soda machine. that's how I roll.
Cool! Nice finds man. I like it.
Good video! Keep up the good work!
good shit man...that door always had me wondering what was behind it lmao
Already knew all of this, but nice video anyway ;) and yes, as a kid, the locked door was a mystery for quite a while :D
Now that I'm so used to the remake I went back and was genuinely surprised by some of the differences I'd forgot such as not entering the RPD through the front gate you mention.
Enjoy your vids simple and to the point.
WOW thanks for no. 3! I imagined all sorts of stuff that could be in the other side of that door as a kid :D I even dreamed about it as if I opened it.
Btw, you missed one cute easter egg at the beginning. Chris' jacket hung from the wall is also "Made in Heaven" just like Claire's and his guitar was a Fender Telecaster Sunburst Brown.
Dude! That red locked door always bothered me as a kid too. Not only that but like you, after finding out that I've already been on the other side ofvthe door, it always bugged me that I was never able to pick up that sledge hammer on the side. It seriously looks like an object you can pick up and use.
Love your videos!
I was like 11 when I played this game and the door was so obvious to me even then :s Great video btw ^^
Great stuff, Love it ;-)
Resident Evil is my favorite Video Game Franchise after Mortal Kombat.
5:08 I used to always wonder what was behind that door, too. Thanks for telling us.
Thank you so much for the door information.. I always wanted to know what is behind it. Feel so relieved 😂
In my recent stream of RE2 I mentioned the RPD gate but didn't remember how to trigger it, and I also mentioned the zombie head but I don't think my version had where you could see the head anyway...
It's nice to see someone who puts a lot of effort in research on these kind of things.
This game brings back memories.
I remember getting resident evil the directors cut and they had an re2 demo packed in with it. Played the hell out of it. Got the full game when it came out. Time sure has flown hasnt it?
Dude that door HAD ME JUST AS NUTS
I'm glad you found out what it was. Years of wondering, put to rest.
Personally my favorite Easter eggs were in the N64 port. Those being the Brads diary and Nemesis being the code for the lab.
It took me a few play throughs, but I found out about the door nailed shut. It was so mysterious before I realized that it was the door Sherry went under lol
Considering Coca Cola make millions a year a homage in a horror game should not bother them
*billions* per year
@Crohns Disease
And tobacco, caffeine and alcohol.
Idiots at best.
Resident evil 1.5 had Pepsi just thought I'd let you know.
the alternative licker scene also explained where the cops head went. Cool!
Nice video didn't know about the soda vending machine
Great video bud 👍
Nice one for number 3!!!
Conoscevo già tutti questi easter egg... Ma ho messo lo stesso il like perché fa sempre piacere vedere che si parla ancora nel 2020 del mio gioco preferito anche a più di 20 anni di distanza.
W Resident evil 2
Awsome, man, thanks. I do remember that "Blue Coca-Cola" , or "Coca-Soda". I found that pretty damn cool.✌😄
I discovered the RE universe thanks to my mom, she is not a gamer herself, but loves to watch others play. She saw a kid playing RE2 at the mall and decided to purchase the game so my sister and I could play for her and we totaly fell in love with the franchise. The first one we played was RE2 for Nintendo64, the one my mom brought home almost 24 years ago. Yes, I'm a 48 year old lady myself (same age as Chris Redfield), mom is 73, and now my teenage son is also a die-hard fan.
Anyway, I can swear that in the Nintendo64 version, right outside the unlockable door, hands got out from beneath and grabbed my character's feet (don't remember which one) giving us a hell of a jump-scare; this happened before rearranging the statues to obtain one of the red jewels. For some stupid reason, I lost the game cartdrige like 16 years ago (yes, I'm a dumbass), but I do own the PS2 version as well and the feet-grabbing hands never appear in the PS2 version.
I've been telling my son about this for years, but I've never found a video or a post mentioning the hands reaching out for a character's feet.
Did this ever happened to any of you?
Could I have dreamt it? (It wouldn't surprise me as I was obsessed with the game)
BTW, I always knew where this door led to thanks to the map and because I always explore all areas thoroughly.
Well, @InkRibbon, I just gotta say that I love your chanel. So many dear memories with these games, thanks for your videos!
There is also a DeLorean (referencing BTTF) in the streets at the very beginning of Claire’s scenario B, just before reaching the station. Also, I noticed Mr Bean’s (TV comedy character) Mini near the Bus at the beginning of scenario A. Great video 👍
number 3, thank you so much.
Really nice job ink ribbon ! The door was the same for me !!!
They did surprise me and its awesome.
4:36 you should’ve also mentioned “weLLcome Leon” sign in the rpd
In the sewer just after the alligator part, the next door is “electornically locked”. Another spelling error.
The one I'd like to see more of is all of the graffiti and signs in the game that get repeated in 2 and 3. Exevia car batteries. The alien with the "Above the Rim" and "Amiset." Interesting to see where they pop up if people sit down and take a good look.
Great video.
Great video keep up the good work. I hope we get resident evil 3 and Dino crisis remake
#3. Thank you !! That always bugged me too.
Nice video. Just a correction though:
“Cogedlo” means “grab him”.
In Spain instead of using the word “agarrar” (to grab) they say “coger”.
In Mexico, it has the same meaning but it’s not used because it has a double meaning: “to fu**”
So:
To grab translates as “agarrar” in Mexico and as “coger” in Spain, but both mean the same thing.
So las plagas are using the proper way of speaking from Spain.
nice notes
wrong video though :)
Nice job!!
I didn't know number 1...lul...nice video :)
I knew all of these, but it was still fun to watch
I'm starting to believe that no one can tell me anything new about any RE game other than maybe a glitch or so.
I watch all these Easter egg videos and by far you are the only one to tell me 1 new thing. Code Veronica X infinite herb was the only thing I hadn't already known. Days upon days of RE game play. Love this franchise just a little sad to see the road it took with RE3 remake.
@Christian, I feel the same about RE3, so frustrating! I read somewhere that it wasn't supposed to be a remake, but a reimagining or something. I'm convinced that the developers went lazy, didn't invest a lot of effort in such a classic and they tried to justify the result by saying it wasn't a remake.
We can keep enjoying the oldies, but I was expecting something else.
Thank you for number 3!!!!!!!!!!
One more 🍬🐰🌺🥚... When you do enough damage to Birkin in his second form, his original head will try to rise up and return itself to the original position.
That nailed shut door really answered questions for me. Lol
it got me the last time..i am playing res 2 finaly i that same door mention what bother's me before...yet you have found it thanks you deserve a like :)
There is 3 colors of blood, for Resident Evil 2. Red, green, and blue which was pretty weird. Violence control=the gore Brad Vickers shows up as a zombie, and gives the character a special key. If they don't pick nothing up, at the beginning of the game. You will get the shotgun from Robert Kendo, if you play as Leon. You will get the crossbow from Robert, if you play as Claire. There is writing in The R.P.D. Hallway where the zombie hands/arms, pop out of the wall that says walk don't run. Unlike Resident Evil 3:Nemesis some of the doors in the police station, on Resident Evil 2 are not blocked of with ply wood
One of the best games in this franchise, a true classic and a must own.
THESE are the easter eggs I came for.
You could do the "shoot at the screen" thing in RE1 too. Now, it's been a while since I played it, but the thing was that there were only really like two or three places where you could do it, and certain camera angles are slightly different in the Director's Cut version. That's why you can only shoot at the screen in one of the versions, either the original or the DC. I really don't remember which is it, though.
I do remember that one of the places where you could do it was the hallway where one of the doors led to the "Jill sandwich" trap. Check one of the angles in which your character can point the shotgun directly to the camera. I don't remember if the shotgun is the only gun that works, but it's the one I used to use for this trick.
It's funny. All the ones that you said "you probably know this.." I didn't know. But I noticed a lot of the others early on.
The way you pronounced "Sakura" is awesome
