This is a song/prayer that I find myself singing through out the years in this pilgrimage of faith. And once again tonight it came to me to sing so I went to pull it up on here to sing it with you. Glad I found this video.

Can someone tell me chords he is playing ?
+Finesa Mayimona - He's playing in the key of A. The original recording was in G. You can readily find the chords online for Surrender if you wanted to get a head start on it and transpose them up a whole step. You could also capo 2 and play it with the shapes in G to play along with this version but chord voicing won't be exact. He's got some bass note movement going on here and added tones in the upper registers because of the open strings. I'd recommended learning the Nashville Number System as a foundation for how to look at chord harmony - by degrees of the major scale (1, 4, 5, 6m, etc). With this you can also learn how to add the common bass notes in like the second chord he plays here is a 5/7 (E/Ab) His chord voicings here are really beautiful and utilize open strings better than you could do in the original key of G. Hope that helps.
