Recipe
1/12/oz. vodka
1 oz. triple sec
dash of rose's lime juice or fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. cranberry juice
shake with ice - Jak na to + styl
I just started looking into bartending, but since I have no one on the inside to hook me up and can't get a restaurant job, I am getting ready for a bartending school. Your videos are helping me a lot to prep up. Thank you for all the videos

Everyone gives you crap for your videos man. I say you are doing a great job. Plus everybody on here acts like they know the ONLY right recipe for the drink. there a ton of different ways and variations of drinks depending on the part of the world. I say nice job and keep up the videos.

Actually, when the drink was originally conceived, it did use Rose's Lime Juice. It was apparently originally a variation on a Lime Cordial, IIRC. Although the modern version goes for a more "refreshing" interpretation, this is probably closer to the way it originally was.
I'd love to see you make 15 of these vid in a row but drink each one at the end of each one! XD

Thanks for your comments. Drink recipes are similar to food cooking recipes. There are always variations. Our goal is to help viewers learn how to prepare popular cocktails with easy to find ingredients. We have tested all of these recipes and them make drinks that taste good.
@captainlavenderrocks If im not mistaken, its actually an old-bartender trick. Where if the bartenders were to serve a 1oz shot of a liquor/liqueur, they fill it up the jigger like 1/2 way, dump it in the glass, and pour a little bit more from the bottle, making the customer think hes getting more booze.

@wedacose plus if he fills the shot up and then pours it it'll run down the side and make a mess so he stops a little before its full and then finishes pouring from the bottle

cointreau and triple sec are exactly the same, well not "exactly", but fair enough, anyways i d go with cointeau also with this one..
i don't have rose lime juice ,is there any other juice can instead of it?

hmm personally I prefer fresh lime and sugar syrup instead...also missing a traditional garnishing of the burnt orange peel

@jtiano i thought u suppose to do a good video so u can get some clients, but the Royceleanzer guy is right, even with the lemon squeeze in you eyes...
1.The original spec on a cosmo IS roses lime cordial, not fresh lime, its just better with fresh lime.
2. Before you build the ingredients into the boston glass you shouldn't add the ice, as this will start to melt as you pour the spirits in.
3. WHO taught you to shake? You shake like a girl.
4. Garnish should be a flamed orange zest.
5. Don't tap your shaker out on the bar top.
6. Why measure everything out if you're going to pour more in?
Cointreau makes a cosmo taste much better than Triple Sec.

well its obvious you bartend at a cheaper kind of place, and although your technique isnt on par(not sure if you just wanted to get the video done with or you actually have no clue what your doing), its still a decent recipe although i would not pay for something without fresh lime juice, id send it right back and have another made with real lime juice, and if the bartender had a problem with it, i wouldnt tip him. as i run up a tab and tip when i pay the whole bill.
Cointreau is much better in a Cosmo than Triple Sec. Also I find that the lime juice is kind of pointless if you are using citrus flavored Vodka.

You can use a 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice. The original recipe used fresh lime juice, but bartenders prefer Rose's Lime Juice for it's convenience.

Cosmopolitan should be bubblegum-pink. Too much Cran and should have used fresh squeezed lime
He used too much cranberry. A proper cosmo should be slightly pink in color, not red.

you pre chill your stem glass for the cosmopolitan , but in your daiquiri video you do not chill your glass.. I wonder why ???, there is absolutely no consistency in your technique . holding the bottle correctly means the label should be facing the guest ...and where is the flamed orange zest ????? i would squeeze that lemon juice into your eyes ... PEACE
