Hawaiin real estate prices , what a joke and what fool would ever pay them ?
Just dumb people! Like Michael Dell, Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, and Mark Zuckerberg.
People who can afford them.
You don't need a passport to see Hawaii Carl! Go for a visit you just never know, you might just become a fool yourself!
Considering its privacy atmosphere and the surrounding ocean view, the home price in Kona is not expensive compare to the similar property here in Los Angeles at all. Zzzzz
I would if I had money. Spent 20 years of my life in Hawaii in the military and would move my ass back there in a heartbeat if it was living in a place like that. Definitely.
I have to admit that watching tiny homes and then Hawaii real estate is mind boggling! After seeing so many homes in Hawaii, I want to become a millionaire to live in Hawaii! These homes are truly amazing! So well built in ways that only an architect could design. I am really impressed!
Glad you like them!
Agreed, I had considered a Tiny home for retirement. But after living 15+ yeas in a 950 sg. ft apartment, I have my lottery tickets for a place like this
Yes you would have to be a multi millionaire to own one of these beauties. 😂
Love it beautiful my dream is to live in Hawaii with a beautiful house like this one
Glad you liked it!
Incredible. Tastefully done. I would only change two things: I’d move the grill so it’s not as far of a walk (probably off the edge of the lanai), and I’d splurge for $20 and put those LED light strips on the pop-up vanity mirror in proper aluminum channels with frosted lenses so it actually looks like that job is finished ;)
YOUR THE BEST I’ve been watching for some time now and I want to say keep up the good work and plz plz PLZ don’t stop. Your my future realtor lol.💙
Beautiful house. I would never leave.
I'm with you!
Only long enough for a Starbuck’s run! 🤣
@@jonniesantos
I’m right there with you on the Starbucks run. I’m there most mornings on the way to work.
Why would anyone want to sell or leave this home? It's incredible!
I guess they want the money more than the house!
It’s a lot of house to keep up. And you’re an hour from town so if you are at a point in your life where you’re making frequent trips to the doctor the drive would get old. Or, it was just an investment…
Absolutely stunning! Everything a family could possibly want . This was truly a great video.
You are so kind!
LOL, at minute 24:00 - your "one thing you would change" - you were 100% sincere in that first thing!
This is sooooo great! I just wish I had the money!! I love the view, the pool, AND JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING with this house! Just a really neat house and grounds! Thanks, Mike for showig it to us! (I loved it when you said the only thing you'd change is it's ownership! 😉)
Glad you liked it!!
I am in love with that house, it’s so beautiful 😍 I love Hawaii, I will love to live there, maybe soon😊❤
We will be here when you are ready!
I'm NOT surprised that this Gorgeous Turn-Key Hale is under contract, especially after the 2 price reductions. I thought the Volvo XC40 Recharge was a nice touch (All the finished Monkeypod pieces was a clincher for me as well.). Mahalo for the excellent Video, Mike.
I totally agree! Really a special house.
My next destination after visiting Ohau and big island!!! The house is not my taste but the view and its privacy atmosphere are fantastic!!!
You'll love it!
Ohh wow!! I love this property!! Gorgeous 💜
Thank you so much!
What a GREAT JOB MIKE! I agree with you that for the money, this is the best home overall.
Pretty spectacular!
I love it. Perfect
Glad you like it!
Amazing in every facet! Just Wow
Thank you!
Beautiful home!!!❤🤍💙
I think so too!
Kohala Estates beautiful views
yessir!
Just the fact that its a Lucky Bennett says it all. Well appointed with wonderful features. Someone knew what they were doing when they built the house.
You'll get no argument from me!!!
Thank you for the inspiration I hope to be a real estate broker in Hawaii one day
you can do it!
That view is amazing
The best!
WOW 😲😳... love it!
Really awesome view and amazing house!
This is a minor question, given the mind-blowing beauty and value for money of this home, but I'm curious about the prep sink on the island. It seems to be in the least usable position. I think I'd center it on the long side, not the end. Just wondering why it is where it is.
Not really sure. I guess they just need a spot for it.
Great house! Love the open walk-in shower! I could fit in that one!lol!
You and me both!
Awesome looking property thank you for shering
You're welcome!
Thomas Magnum can stay in the cottage/guesthouse !
YES!
Hawaii has beautiful property!
We do!
This is stunning, one of my favorites. And you always do a great job showing/selling these homes. Ignore the trolls. What did this sell for?
This is nice
Glad you liked it!
My first time to watch your video and I am very impressed, I am looking to buy.
Thanks Josie! That's what I'm here for. You can reach me directly at mike@mikedrutar.com
This would make a great vacation home.
All this property lacks is a solar array with LiFePO Batteries. The luxory of the extra downslope lot is wonderful too. What is the average rainfall for this part of the Big Island?😃
Love the solar idea! My rainfall overlay on the MLS map says 25" per year. It's pretty dry up there.
Finally a kitchen that makes sense…
Agreed!
@@HawaiiRealEstate I’m starting to like you!
Have you done the bathroom with your remodel like the shower with tile here?
It's a little different!
This is definitely one of the best houses you've shown, loved it. Two questions though: even very expensive houses in Hawaii tend not to have solar panels (for electricity rather than just hot water) - why is that? (I'm in Australia - they're quite common here). Also - we love Oahu and would really like to find someone who has a RE channel and works in your method/style but on that island. Can you recommend anyone?
Nobody on Oahu, but I am looking at expanding. As for the solar, a lot of these properties at the higher end are part time residences (like this one) so the investment does not pan out.
@@HawaiiRealEstate OK, thanks for the reply and insight.
Hi Mike - I've been enjoying your videos for sometime now. As a local boy living in the mainland, I'm looking to return to the island in 3-5 years. How much (approximate) would it cost to have solar panels on a house like this?
Let me just whip out my checkbook....its so affordable i cant pass it up
We have many lower priced homes too.
What is the humidity like outside. Also does it have a water softener
I'm not sure about the water softener- those are pretty rare out here. Humidity is pretty low up there compared to the rest of the island.
How big is the lot? Thank you.
10 acres on this one!
Everything in Hawaii is super expensive because everything has to be Shipped in.
We also only have so much land available.
This is a beautiful house! Is this still available?
We look like we are going to close on it in about a week!
❤
Thanks!
22:40 “I’m lucky, I don’t have that…my in-laws are awesome.” Your in-laws watch this channel, don’t they? Blink twice if you need help, Mike. :D
They don't watch but I really do have great in-laws!
Gorgeous estate , does it come with HOA's and how much?
Good question. Fees are $275/month
@@HawaiiRealEstate I just started watching your Videos ! Amazing content, beautiful estates for every price range and the things , you would change ! The exact same things , I would change ! Yes, I'm subscribing ! Thanks !
@@HawaiiRealEstate so the $275 a month is the HOA fee ?
What are the property taxes like on this property?
$32,042
What is behind the garage ? you dont show the house on the garagespot
Its in there- you have to keep watching
What’s the deal with the land beyond the pool? Can someone buy it and build a 2 story that blocks the view?
Nope. That's YOUR land- we just need to make an offer!
The views are Great
How many ft above Sea Level
1990
@@HawaiiRealEstate Sorry.. i see you mentioned it in the vid
But wasnt until seeing it the 3rd time that i saw it
There is a lot / acreage for sale next door ?
Also...how far to water does the property go
@@MrBOB39 You are about 4 miles from the water as the crow flies.
@@MrBOB39 Yes, that totals the 22 acres
Mike, is this house still on the market?
Yes!
Mike, if I could give you a little advice, if you're showing a video of a house, show the best thing first. Not a guest bathroom, not a 6 burner stove, or a countertop, show the very best thing about the house first. In this case, walk straight through to the view of the ocean and back yard.
Thanks!
I semi disagree. I’m a videographer and I think leaving a bit of anticipation for the “best part” that is the outside/view is best. Shortly showing it with glee then saying we will get back to that is a good tease technique.
However I do think Mike does stay on the small details a little to much. Just pointing it out and tapping the item then quickly moving on will do.
For being a one man show though, Mike your doing pretty great.
@@kcjalapeno It's an interesting question. These are beautiful homes and Mike does a great job showing them. I'm not trying to be critical at all.
But you can get a guest bathroom or a garage or a 6 burner gas range in Omaha. I'd give them the money shot first, and then, if they're still interested, show them the inside of the house. Because to me, the most important thing about any house is the location.
How much is the property tax for
$32,042
Has this property been sold? Or no longer available?
It just went into escrow and they are looking for a backup offer. They lowered the price another $200k.
Can you give me an estimate on the taxes on this property?
We generally have 2 property tax rates. Owner occupant and investor. Owner occupant is currently $6.15 per $1,000 assessed value, and the investor rate is about 11.10 per $1,000 assessed value. There are also deductions for owner occupant. Also, we under-assess by a lot. On this house the tax was the investor rate and came in at 32,042.46
@@HawaiiRealEstate thanks
Beautiful property stil avaliable interested buyers here
You should email me if you are in the market!
This one has sold
No bathtubs?
Not in this one-
Great? No bathtubs with view????
not on this one! We are starting to see fewer and fewer bath tubs-
If I someone buys this home do they own the land that it is built on.
Yes
Why,are they. Moving?
If I recall, they were not using the property much. They did not live here so they were not really moving, just not keeping this property in their portfolio.
That's a butler's pantry!!!
Thanks!
Did this sell mike?
Yes it did
Ok thanks you for the quick response, whatching your videos all the time. Love what you’re doing.
@@hornetg658 that's awesome to hear!
Why is car included lol
I think they are gone for good!
Mike....I won't It.
I want it too!
And who needs a 60ft pool when you live in Hawaii??
The ocean can be intimidating for some!
Hi Mike, not sure were this house is located. Last time I asked you about the lave flow and never got an answer. The big island is made up of 9 zones and in 1 and 2 and maybe 3 you should Never build or buy homes in those areas because they can be burned down when the volcanos are active. I live in Florida and no zero about Hawaii and the big island. Let be know or I will stop watching all of your houses.
This one is up in kohala in LZ 9. I'd have to disagree with your analysis on LZ 3. There are a lot of misconceptions about what the different lava zones mean. For example, LZ 3 means "1-5% chance it has been covered by lava since 1800 and 15-75% it has been covered in the past 750 years" according to the USGS. Are you a serious buyer?
