  • Try this simple pool heater for yourself you won't be disappointed...
    I prefer to use salt over sugar because that's a great way to get ants
    I made pool heater in about one hour
    Use slightly smaller diameter pipe to reduce water flow so water has some time to heat.Best to use at night to maintain water temperature and also because there is a lot of smoke.
    Copper pipe cost me about 5€
    Duct Tape 3€
    I already had sugar-free

    The unit heats up fast and is super quiet. It looks fancy czcams.com/users/postUgkxl8Od2BvnGbn1ffwqsuFXW0QnmcZgMiVY and can be kept in the living room. It gets hot within a split second of turning on the unit. The build quality is exceptionally good and is safe to be around kids and pets. This one is super quiet and can be kept on while in office meetings, my wife loved it. It shows the temperature right on the unit which is very useful and adding a rotating feature helps to heat up the surrounding, so other people will not fight with you for heat. It is right as described in the description..!! Definitely recommend!!

    Nice! But it’s a smaller pool so makes sense it would heat it well. Either way it is a nice affordable and renewable energy setup! Awesome job! Makes me wonder about replacing my heater with a wood burning stove. Our pump room has a 12’ ceiling. I bet I could put in a wood burner and wrap the exhaust pipe in copper tubing and just keep a fire going. Hmmmmm....

    use a cut 1/2 55gallon steel drum for the fire pit and put the coil inside it, and cut slots or drill holes for the copper to exit the drum.👍it was a good thought, but you must contain the fire...
    get a patio chimenea and copper-pipe-coil the inside maybe, and have a sweer patio fire/heater in one...
    or better yet build a patio with a stone pizza oven and hide the coil inside that! ...

      A wood fire like a campfire might reach temperatures as high as 1650F at it’s hottest point. Copper melts just shy of 1984F, so no it won’t melt. This is especially true with water being pumped thru it, it will never go over 212F as the water will carry away all the heat…

    What measurements of pipe do you recommend for the best performance?

    • @MrTplanko
      @MrTplanko  Před 3 lety +1

      @@MrTplanko Yeah, I had a small pump, although that was mostly intended to be security, had hope that the heating of the water itself would create enough flow, but apparently it wasn't strong enough, that, or the water became to hot, melting the tube and restricting flow.

    The heater is very small for the mass of water contained in the pool (more than 4000 litres). Also, the system they show is not insulated, this causes a lot of heat loss. This heater would operate efficiently solo en verano with a children's pool. To improve it, they should increase the size of the spiral to the volume of a 208-liters can and use natural gas as fuel.

    You started at 80F + degrees? That is already plenty warm. You don't have enough heating surface there to heat up a pot of water. Entertaining for sure but DONT DO THIS it will not work unless the pool is already warm enough to swim in....and the 6 degrees of rise in under 3 hours.....NOT POSSIBLE!
