Installing Bedside Rails For Trailerless Lawn Care Setup (Part 1)

- This video is part 1 of my trailerless lawn care setup on my 2020 RAM 1500. I bought 2 of the AA101 bed rails from the Trailer Racks company. I also purchased the Ramp Rack Sport, which i'll make an install video here shortly. Installing these rails was a lot harder than what I had imagined before buying them. I'm glad that in the end, I was able to figure it out without having to drill any holes/ make precise cuts on the rails. Yes, they do stick out after the install, but I think the ramp rack will sit somewhat even with them.

I had the same issue with them being too long for my truck bed but I cut them down to line up with the bed and drilled holes in the stake pockets to mount them more securely.

I just bought a pair of the rails too for my lawn care set up. They’re gonna be pretty frustrating to fit because of how they’re made, but thankfully I have a 6 ft bed so it should be easier than yours🤞🏻
I would have had to take a moment for crying. Good thing you are a gadget guy. My thought was what it you cut 1 cm off the back silver mount to shorten it to the 5 cm height of the front mount? Maybe?

Check if you posible move the secure bolt on the mount to the side hole.

Call them and ask for clarification. Mine came in black without asking...
@@fillslawncareplus I called. They didn’t even know lol. It they come in black now. Also. Found another video where you can change the placement of the rail bracket. So you can fasten the rear bracket in the pre drilled hole that comes with the truck.
