One of my top 10 episodes. The part where the ship mentally destroys the swat team is one of the most savage things Ive seen and I watch “Mr Pickles” 🤣😂
I personally love seasons 5-7 some people think the show dipped in quality but to me it just improved. From animation to general plot lines it feels better well rounded and has focus on real character arcs.

the taxes wouldn't be an issue if the govt distributed them back to the people through services, free healthcare and education etc. Taxes are meant to be the support systems for everyone, no matter your income or background, but greed and capitalist politics has eroded that and now they are just there to make money off citizens and dodge for fraud reasons for the super wealthy. My country we use tax to pay for free healthcare, education, public transport etc, but we are going the same way as the states these days, massive tax breaks for the rich while the rest of us get poorer and poorer!

@@ItsAPrimatee still, if you pay 10% sales taxes, you will not pay more than 10% of your revenue even if you spend it all.
I live in Quebec Canada where it is known to be of the highest taxes in North America and even if I made next to 100k last year, I will pay 25%ish on income taxes, retirement fund and parental leaves fund, and 13% on whatever I buy. It never gets near 50% of my revenue.
Anyways, I understand your point and I don't think we want to go into a taxes conversation.

National infrastructure cant run without taxes, unfortunately. The problem, imo, is the way our money is spent. We send billions to foreign countries, while healthcare in this country bankrupts americans, and veterans live on the streets.

Not only would our infrastructure fall apart without taxes, but there exist so many people whose lives would be unlivable without tax funded assistance. How would poor communities ever rebuild without FEMA? If you were unfortunate enough to be born with a disability, or be disabled by injury and are unable to work, you can’t get government assistance - so unless you are lucky enough to get pity or have family to help you, you might as well just die.
Suggesting that people working for a living is slavery because some of the money earned goes toward helping the entire community (to which they also benefit), is not applying enough critical thinking. Tell that to actual slaves.
Now, a system with no social net because no one pays taxes, also means that regardless of disability or age or health, one has to keep working - or starve to death - because there is no help for them otherwise. That is far closer to slavery than living in a society which dares ask you to contribute some of what you make to benefit everyone in that society and not just yourself.
But yes - a problem can stem from when our tax dollars end up getting spent on things which benefit only the very wealthy or to achieve some geopolitical goal which we are never made to understand the reason for.

Plain and simple. Before money, communities helped each other by simply making sure there was enough food, water and shelter for everyone. There was no “money”

While taxes are annoying, and seem to be too high (and maybe they are because of government inefficiencies...), they are kind of needed. Without taxes there are no public schools so half the population wouldn't be educated, no free roads so transporting anything or going anywhere you'd have to have toll roads, or pay for local roads yourself, no police or firefighters, so good luck if you get mugged or your house catches fire, no government assistance programs so lots of extra hungry people, which increases crime, and most of all no army, so any warlord can take over your area, and they'd steal everything anyway.
Ranting against taxes on a computer invented and created with tax dollars across the internet invented and maintained with tax dollars, powered by the electric grid funded by tax dollars and supplied with energy funded by tax dollars transported across roads created and maintained by tax dollars on a computer in a nation defended entirely by tax dollars...oof.
No one likes paying taxes, but we can look at the nations in the world right now without them. There's a reason Apple isn't opening their newest factory in Somalia even though they would pay 0% in taxes and that's the same reason you ain't moving there tomorrow :P
So if taxes paid for all that, then where the national debt comes from, we all know how banks, corporations and politicians manipulate the laws , why did the government bailed out the banks, I don't hate taxes I Hate lobbying,

You can be against bad programs or bad spending or waste or corruption without being against the concept of tax or government spending entirely.
Context and nuance are important in everything in life!
@@Teeklin exactly my point, I remember when I admired the US government, or maybe I was naive, but i knew it was less worse than the corrupt ones, specially comparing it to mexican government but after the 2008 banks bail out, and learning how it happened, I was disappointed to realized that every president had enabled bit by bit, I'm not against government tax nor police, nor social programs, what I am against is politicians that are becoming just as fake doble faced and corrupt as Mexican government, public servants shouldn't be able to make public business, it is a responsibility, it shouldn't be a privilege so that after your term your investment were ur ultimate purpose, and presidents should only be ones that were willing to die for the country, not spoiled brats from wealthy families or puppets like Biden, tell me why when talking about prison system, guilty or not they want u to be sent to prison evem if for q month or even life, where they spend at least 200k in ur imprisonment, yet to spent money on ur education, the loans were the worse, im not arguing with u, and we probably agreed on alot

It's a shame people hyped it up (I see that raising of expectations as a bit of a spoiler). However, I am happy to learn that people enjoyed this episode as much as I did. _It's easily one of my favorite _*_Rick and Morty_*_ episodes._
Perhaps you don't realize just what our taxes go to. Is some of it wasted? Sure. But just a small slice of it is how we even have an entire infrastructure. It's basically how we can afford to have a country. There are countries that give their citizens so much more, like healthcare and such. But that's because they are taxed even more.
*EDIT:* Granted, the economy is at its best when we have more disposable income. That's why things didn't crash during the pandemic. Most were getting supplemental income.
