The pattern variation in this practice session is legit. Big up TLM
Thanks!
This is one of the best videos on CZcams
Word bro! Thanks for this jewel! Always looking to get better!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your contribution to the culture!!!!
One of the best free dj session. That's consistent and very informational. I been on a hiatus. But TLM keeps me inspired. I learned alot throughout the years . Hopefully I'll get back on the grind.
Go for it💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Great idea for a video. Keep it up.
Love this session- always my go to when I get writers block prepping tracks.
My favourite DJ 💯👏🏽
Dope content and you are clear and concise. Appreciate the tip on the marker.on the Rev1, the downloadable beat and scratch sample. Subbed!
I’m glad you liked it!👍🏾
My BARS album in the back doe!! 🌊💙
Dope another global scratch session
This session I save for watch later at home ;)
Once again, who else but dj TLM!!!
The best of the last...👊💪👊
👊🏾
This was dope it forced me to dumb down my scratches on both hands... Good warm up bro
Oh yeah, I still need to practice a lot of these patterns with my other hand as well💯
Awesome scratches, makes me want to bust out my DJ gear from storage. Appreciate you demonstrating the different scratch patterns. Will have to give it a go.
Have fun!👍🏾👍🏾
Great 👏
👍🏾
Hope to see a breakdown like the other one you did! Love it!
Oh yeah, more breakdown vids for sure!💯
Uou you always make me happy and the way you flex your smile. Realest all the time
👊🏾
Nice to see you using the rev 1 👏👏👏👏💯
It's quite a switch coming from the REV7, but it is fun! :)
@@djTLMtv yes but there are not too many content out there with the rev 1 so it's nice to see you mix it up a bit for us the budget controller user.👍👍👍
@@michaelsinclair1509 True, and I think it's important to show the entry level and mid-tier equipment as well because some new DJs feel intimidated when all of the tutorial material is done on pro gear. It makes some of them feel like they need that equipment to do it right, when that's not the case.
Loving the Rev-1, absolutely awesome controller! Do you like the Rev7 a lot more ? Might have to get that at some point too! But this thing is nice and portable/lightweight! 👍✌️😁
I just picked one up..i'd probably snap that fader off..lol...dope cuts man!!
Just got mine yesterday. Im loving it so far. Edit. Had to return mine because it would go out of vinyl mode all by itself.
Clean cuts. Tech has come so damn far to allow that.
It has💯
No matter how many times I try, I never sound as good as this.
Big ups my man!
Thanks! How long have you been practicing?
@@djTLMtv I've actually been trying for about 6 months off and on. I guess consistency makes a difference.
But I can tell I'm getting better but I know I have to explore and try different things out of my comfort zone
Got mine!!
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Dope
How have you been bro?👊🏾
@@djTLMtv all is good bro, can’t wait to get back out around your way. You good ?
salute
👊🏾
Yiss my rev 1 came in the other day Imma be here a while
Nice! Enjoy!
💯
🐐🐐🐐
👊🏾
Yo TLM dank je wel voor je video's altijd 💥 hey notice dat je geluid van de video erg ver klonk mono
Erg ver en mono? Hier klinkt alles normaal hoor
thank you DJ TLM for showing these.. Now I'm convince i will buy this entry level pioneer DJ Rev1 controller as my practice dj gear at home. after i sell my s9 & pair of PLX1000 turntables to enable me to upgrade my 10 years old Macbook Pro to the New 14" Macbook Pro, for me it's time for upgrade as the New DJ controllers and new updates on Serato DJ pro and MacOS are more & more loaded with the new tech so not to get behind.. So REV1 & M1 Pro would be nice for a starter this year 2022 and later try to save some money on gigs then buy the S11 and a pair of turnatables.. :)
yep i pre ordered the rev1 for practice as well, it has an insane amount of features for the price
So you have to sell your S9 and turntables to buy a new laptop, and then hopefully save up money to buy an S11 and turntables? Is that the only way you can make it work? I understand that a laptop needs to be upgraded at a certain point. Trust me, I know! I’ve been without a proper laptop for 2 years now.
It just seems to me that going from an S9 and a set of PLX1000s to a REV1 would be a major step backwards.
@@djTLMtv yes that's the sacrifice i would take (actually it pains me to let it go! coz' that's my first Battle Mixer and a turntable, I thought it so many times and all the scenarios besides my old laptop is almost giving up on my gigs,). .. I need a stress & woriesome FREE, i've just treat It's like a fresh start hehe... anyways the skills that I've learned from my S9 set will be always just here and Now im sure i will be more motivated to get some gigs in order me to save some money to get back on what I've lost...
@@djTLMtv besides that's why I'm watching your post and contents of your youtube to be more inspire while only having this REV1 controller yet I can still enjoy some of what im doing on my S9 set.. Scratching! hehe
@@alexcomla9419 curious if you actually followed through with your plan?
@djtmltv is their a scratch mode on the controller that I have to turn on to scratch and use the crossfader?
Can I do some exercises so that my left hand becomes better at moving the jogwheel and crossfader like my dominant hand?
Hey DJ TLM....cool video....tnxalot!
But more cool than the REV1 is your "A"-Cap....what it is for a cap/brand?! Cheers DJ A13X
Thanks! It’s a brand from Amsterdam called Mokum Made. Check them on IG (@mokummade)
You real good I like to see what you can do with that controller
Thanks!
Brother, can I record scratches directly to my DAW? if so, how do I do it?
How to get scratch samples to serato pro?
Can you demonstrate beat juggling using scratch bank
Beat juggling with the scratch bank? Why would you do that? I mean, I guess you could do it. In stead of storing sounds in the banks, you would have to store beats in the banks.
These markers on platters works even in play mode as long as you hold your hand in the platter. Try juggling with it😈salute!
That’s true, but if you hold your hand on the platter there’s no need to have play on. Unless you do all your scratches with techniques that allow you to hold your hand on the platter until you release the platter to let the song or sound play.
As soon as you start to do techniques that require you to release the platter and grab it again, the marker will not line up anymore
I recently moved and I think the moving company banged my Technics around in their truck because today I tried to scratch and when I let go of the record, the sound starts to play slow to normal. Is there something I can do to tighten up the turn table? Or do I need to readjust the arm/needles?
Wow, that doesn’t sound good. I don’t think that’s a needle problem though. Sounds like a motor issue, but I don’t know enough about the inner workings of a turntable
I definitely want to try this session. I’m curious on the Rev1 crossfader setting or cut any tips on that?
software based, only adjustable in Serato settings
i hope someone can share their settings❤
We need a rev2 with lcd screens 😬
It only matters where the marker is the exact moment you touch the jogwheel. If you pay attention as you touch it, you are good to go.
What Scratch is that at 6:02 y'all?that shid was tight!
It's some kind of autobahn
Any suggestions on cross fader curb settings n such for better scratching and cutting?
same question😢
@@michaelbuergo984 I got my jog sensitivity at 3.25. Helped quite a bit but not entirely how I want it. I'm using virtual dj too.🎧
Please how can I purchase this Rev1 I'm in Africa, Nigerian
I’m not sure if it’s being sold yet. I think most stores have it on pre-order. As far as Nigeria goes, I have no idea who sells what. That is something you will have to find out online (google?)
Hey will this run in Virtual Dj?
It’s a midi controller so you could probably midi map it for VDJ. I haven’t tried it
And do a mix using that controller
That might happen👊🏾
Thanksgiving
Do the breakdown using that controller
I will be doing a break down video with the REV1 for sure!
@@djTLMtv Thank you so much I just got that controller I would love to see you use it
Too small of platters for scratching really.
They are small, but you can use them for scratching. The feeling is different, and you might have to adjust certain movements a bit ;)
