Realize I'm late to the party but the seller did know it was a fake. Its easy to tell, had they thought it was authentic when they sold it they would want that watch back. Obviously they bought it from somewhere and lets say they paid $2000 for it, you'd want a shot to get that money back, not just let whoever has it keep it. Glad they repaid you but I'd still report it to wherever you bought it from.
Would you consider keeping this replica and when you get your genuine Tudor BB Bronze doing a side by side comparison to help people identify the differences?
The Seller obviously knew they had sold a fake watch.off course it was intentional. If he was for real he would have disputed your claim and certainly wanted it back to challenge where he got it from.

Just so you know DLC is PVD. PVD (Positive or Physical vapour Deposition) is the process by which a coating such as DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) is applied. DLC is only in Grey-Black so the coating this and Tudor uses is the same. The movement securing tabs are far from a joke and are commonly used especially in oversized watches that use undersized movements (this is no exception). There is going to be a loose screw floating around in there unless it was always missing. Finally be careful with earlier Rose logo smiley face Tudors as they do use a 2824 movement to begin with. You might want to look up Triovis regulator to know one of the modifications the genuine movement has over a stock movement.
Did the watch go through eBay’s authentication process?
I bought a Tag Heuer Aquaracer on Ebay which I believe was a fake. The lume color was wrong and the packaging was wrong. It felt nice, looked nice and had the same weight but I just knew something wasn't right. I contacted the seller and they did refund me. I was able to return it and they paid the return shipping so I wasn't out and money. I in the other hand do feel they were being deceptive as they were selling it as a new watch. After receiving my money back I made a point to warn others through social media. I believe if someone wasn't into watches they would have been easily duped. I proceeded to purchase a real one and automatically noticed the differences between the two. Thanks for your video.
Replica originally meant a copy made by the same artisan or workshop that made the original. Hence, replica sports jerseys are replicas in the original sense of the word. I still find this use of “replica” bizarre, but I’m weird.

hello, love the watch so i am planning to get myself one. just want to ask one thing before making the purchase, i saw the watch onsite and seems like the tip of the minute needle is a bit tilted downwards, is it because of the dome glass type or is it suppose to be tilted? Thanks!
Had a similar experience with a Seamaster. It was supposed to be a pre-owned James Bond 50th Anniversary. What I got was a new fake. A pretty decent fake, but a fake none the less, and something you can get online from who knows how many sellers for maybe $150.
Similar flags on the seller, good but limited feedback, and no real history of selling items over a few hundred dollars. I initially got a tracking number that was invalid. I reached out to the seller regarding the fake tracking number and got something along the lines of "Something must have gone wrong, I sent it" and he closed with "I am honest seller."
When I contacted eBay, they didn't even blink and immediately issued a refund. I gave the watch to a friend and it's been mistaken as genuine a few times.
Sorry about this. At least you're getting your money back. Idk, maybe use it to make your own modded watch? Something you might like to see in a bronze case? Otherwise, know anyone with some nice firearms to do practice shooting this thing with?

Pretty sure when you flip it over with the nato strap you should not see the pins they in small pockets to stop the strap from sliding

Thats why I dont really go into secondhand watches, this model is discountinued in AD, but you can still get brand new in trusted grey market, now people learn lessons.
