- At the time of upload, Summer is winding down, but I wanted to share with you some more gear that helped get camp through the heat. Shade and heat deflection were key, as well as keeping my food cold, even as temperatures were rising.

For winter camping, I suggest reversing the sides in which you install the window covers, such that the black side faces out/the silver side in. This will ensure more heat is absorbed by your vehicle and the heat inside is reflected back towards you. I do that and find it actually works brilliantly.
Ya know, I had a theory that this was the way to go, and planned on trying it out. Thank you for the validation, based on first-hand experience!

I lost my grandma and my dad, and nearly lost my mom to lung cancer, due to smoking. 😔 Cigarettes are real bear to let go of, so give yourself some grace, and please keep at it. The outdoors is waiting for you!

Thank you for the encouragment🚶♀️👍, lost my mom in feb.2017 to pancreatic cancer 11 months after diagnosed at 81, I lost my dad june 1980 at 53, just shy of his 54th b-day of a heart- attack at home, my brother found him on the bathroom floor😢, so , I know. I was 24, if he was still alive he would have been 96this past Oct. 2nd- he was heavy smoker & drank beer, the day my dad died I picked up a beer & started smoking after I had quit for 16 months😱 & smoked & drank beer too ever since, but I quit the beer , now I'm gunna try my darndest on the cigs, thanks again, your Awesome👍🏕🤗🌻🌲🌳🍁

I’m in the process of making window coverings, I was given 2 huge rolls that my son had leftover. Next car/van I’m definitely buying them. What a huge pain, I’m fussy about things, I need them to be almost perfect. I have a Crv, I did price them out on both sites . Take it from me 😁, they’re worth the money. If you put black tape around the edge of your loose one , gorilla is great, that should solve your problem with the fit, will give it a little extra grip. I miss my 4 runner , happy travels you 2 .

Some good upgrades, love my 12 volt fridge.
Try to get a portable lightweight solar panel to help your Ecoflow out. You will be relieved of the stress. I roadtrip camp with a solid Renogy 100 watt mounted to my roofracks of my Crosstrek. I had no problems on a 28 day journey AZ to WI and back to AZ. ICECO frig, kettle, charging equipment, lights, etc. Never even connected it to my car. I just drove and it charged via the sun.
No experience with an electric blanket though. Do you have a "kill-o-watt" to test how much your equipment consumes? It helps to see what everything uses before you get out there.
Oh, one other tip...or question, do you have one of those battery charger/jumper units that Costco or Amazon sells? It saved my butt one time up a mountain east of Albuquerque. It also helped a stranded visitor up at Wupataki north of Flagstaff.
I do have a battery jumper! That was one of the first bits of gear I invested in. 😊
I’ve got a solar panel on my list for a while now, but just haven’t encountered the right deal at the right time. 😕 Maybe there’ll be a good one for Black Friday, or as Winter arrives. 🤞🏻
Oh and for wattage testing, I just plug whatever device into the ecoflow at home, to get an idea of pull.
Oh yeah, I forgot that is possible.
Too bad there isn't anything invented to hook up to your car to collect the wind energy.
