  • Plurals in Arabic are much different than those in English. There are three types of plurals in Arabic; the sound masculine, the sound feminine, and the broken or irregular plurals. Each type has its own rules and applies to different words. Learn how and when to use each type in this video lesson and test yourself with the quiz at the end 10:12.

It's a great Video, thanks so much. the only issue I am having is memorizing those broken plurals, imagine how many words there are in Arabic. Trying to understand what is the best version to do so. or where to find the correct plural version of a certain word.

Glad you found the video beneficial! It's true that broken plurals can be a tricky topic to master. Broken plurals do follow patterns but there are too many (around 20!) so I don't recommend memorizing them. The best way to know the broken plurals is to have a vast exposure to Arabic, then you'll start to recognize the patterns they follow. However, if you're interested in the different patterns of broken plurals Wikipedia has a good article demonstrating it titled "Broken Plural Patterns in Arabic".
