The magic of Indian Classical music. Harmony between systemic raagas and improvisation at the same time. Its almost philosophical. Its firmly grounded by the roots yet so free as the wind.

It's amazing how well they communicate with each other through Sarod. It sounds so blended and uniform. Amjad Ali Khan and Ali Akbar Khan are the two maestros. They create magic with their instrument. The strings they pluck creat deep reverberations in your soul.
It takes great power and intricate delivery to be able to spread Indian form of music beyond traditional borders. "Music without borders" is what an artist should aim at.

On the first part Amjad Ali Khan Shab actually playing on the notes of Tagore's song, Shyama Sangeet and Bengali folks. It is clearly visible how much influenced he is by the Bengali music. May be his close association with Pandit Ravi Shankar and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan was the main reason behind it.

India really needs monarchy. Here son/nephew etc of political leader will become next PM/CM ETC. Although they do not deserve so. Again actor/singer are being projected as future artiste although they do not deserve so. One more example is this too. Great going India!!!

You should learn more music before you make such ridiculous claims... Both his sons performed immaculately well and are absolute masters... The rest of your talk about some kind of weird notion of nepotism is also unfounded because no one can become that good without a true will... Thirdly it is and has been a long tradition for musicians to find disciples in their family and all of the people involved have been willing participants so I don't see a problem here... We should not follow the west blindly and run over all our good traditions in exchange for a much inferior culture that spreads selfishness in the name of individualism. Seeks to destroy all others by invalidating them. We have always been culturally superior to the west and we should be proud of it.

    • @manasphadke782

I disagree with this.. Amaan and ayaan ali khan are both extraordinary sarod players.. You must notice that two of them are accompanying ustad amjad ali hence he seems to be more dominant. Secondly you should.try playing sarod and you will come to know it is one of the hardest instruments to play. Think twice before you make such comments
      Thank you !
