Hey, your videos have taught me a lot! But I'm trying to find a fix for one thing slowing me down. Whenever I'm shuffling clips around, sometimes I'll accidentally drag a clip slightly over another one and lose the end or beginning of where I'm dragging it. Is there a way to auto shuffle clips ahead when I want to move one to a space between? I don't think I explained that well.. but hopefully you understand...
Try toggling on the magnet feature just under the preview window in the Edit Page.
It’ll create more of a snapping feel when you move clips instead of allowing them to overlap as easily

Is there a way to save a text preset/"set up" (?). For instance, if I use Text+, and set my font to an imported text style, and a specific colour/size, etc, is there a way to save it so I don't have to keep redoing it all/copying it from a different video, and instead just open the preset that I saved?

Yep. You’d just have to add a tracking node if the footage of the newspaper is moving

Awesome tutorial Daniel does exporting footage from Davinci in a 18x9 ratio as opposed to 16x9 effect that footage negatively in anyway??
It’ll change the crop. So if your project was 16:9 it will add black bars in the left and right unless you change the project aspect ratio and adjust your footage to fit

Daniel, please, I don't understand the logic behind Davinci's transitions, because sometimes it allows me to place the transition at the beginning or end of the video and other times it doesn't allow me? It also happens that sometimes it allows me to place the transition in the middle of two videos and others not. What is the logic behind this? I will appreciate your comments.

Bro How I can do Thie trick- Suppose there is a Text and there is a Slider/ Zoom which gives it a Zoom effect in a small space. But that shape is Parallelogram. So when I slide it accross the text only the part which paralleo gram Is the Text changes colour.
Wow… that is extremely specific and I’m not sure I understand.
My guess is you tried to use a built-in or third party text feature and ran into issues…?

It’s 6 of one, half dozen of another.
There will always be more than one way to do anything in Resolve and one is never “better” than the other.
It all depends on your project needs.
Your way for the clips I was using would also require me to crop the footage of the girl waving because I didn’t want all of it to show.

I have a question, what if I had 3 pictures on the wall and wanted to animate them? How would I do that? I can get the one picture open, but when I try the 2nd, it doesn't work.
Add a 2nd polygon mask connected to your Media In node, draw the next mask up in your preview window but up in the upper right controls for that mask, change the Paint Mode from Merge to Subtract.
Now you should see it.
You can add more the same way.
