PCT SOBO 2021 Day 2: Windy Pass - campsite before Rock Pass

Pacific Crest Trail southbound hike day 2. Hiked from Windy Pass to the campsite just before Rock Pass. This way we could go over Rock Pass first thing in the morning together while the snow was crisp. This allows the microspikes to grip the snow better. Christopher and I partnered up to make the crossing. he slipped and self arrested on one of the snow traverses near Rock Pass.
Today I met Mike from Minnesota who hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2014. His trail name was chopsticks on AT, but he is going for a new one now. Met Twirl solo female and another couple that reported rock pass being clear now. Crossed paths with another couple SOBO Tree Beard and Compass. Met Squeegie whom I follow on social media. Then met Toodles from Tennessee and Toes from New York. Followed by Attrition and Walkie Talkie from North Carolina. Rested at Holman Pass with Mike and met Blueprints before heading back out on trail. Met Nakita on the long hot uphill and then Phillip from Germany. Next met Jim and Tina headed to Steven's pass and took a selfie. At camp met Morgan, Otis, Travis who hung out for cooler temperatures before heading back ourt on the trail for some more miles. Camped with Christopher, Michael, Eric and Dice. Others nearby but didn't interact with them.
Also I met Mark doing a commemorative trip. Rainy to Monument and back. He attended CWU too. Now 59 and a cancer survivor. Previously hiked this section when he was 19 years old with same external frame pack.
