- Dagoth Ur once again goes over Elder Scrolls Games, but this time it is in the Tier List Format. Witness his scorching opinions on the Elder Scrolls Arena, the Elder Scrolls Daggerfall, Battlespire and Redguard. Listen to his praise of Oblivion, Morrowind, and Skyrim! He also goes easier on the Elder Scrolls online and other games much more than usual! Generally, this is a bit of a different take on each Elder Scrolls Games, and hopefully in the future there will be a DLC tier list as well. Dagoth Ur also can't stand the mobile Elder Scrolls Games!

Some of the og daggerfall bugs got ported to Skygerfall. Like parts of the map where dungeon walls were missing and you could noclip and fall eternally

I wish there was the option to side with Dagoth Ur in the game. Instead of the final battle, there is another X number of hours left where you and Dagoth Ur team up and free Morrowwind from the mongrel dogs of the empire. We have AI to voice the lines and modders to make it. Please Lord Dagoth Ur is something like this possible? I can't think of anyone else but you, a living GOD could answer such a question.
I agree that this should have been an option in the base game, especially since they tease you with it so much. However, I think it would make more sense for Dagoth Ur to betray you at the final hour. For example, instead of getting Kagrenac's tools for the Tevanni wizard and Vivec, you get them for Dagoth Ur.

I must object my Lord Dagoth. Every single game besides Morrowind should all be in D because they lack the Divine Presence of Dagoth Ur (The God) and fail to honour the Sixth House and the Tribe unmourned.

Im Listening to these videos while playing Morrowind, As Dunmer warrior of course. I'm not some Mongrel dog imperial. My only regret is I can't join the Sixth house and the Tribe Unmourned. Seriously though this is my favorite game of all time.

Morrowind, my first ES game, is indisputably the best elder scroll game despite all its flaws, old mechanics & look. I still play it to this day unmodded.
I greatly enjoyed Oblivion when I played it, but this video did make me appreciate it more and I'd love to replay it.
Skyrim is a game I love playing - modded. I have thousands of hours played, but yet to complete the generic main quest. It is also the game that convinced me that I'd rather have a game that is fantastic than a game that has the most stunning graphics that a modder will inevitably make anyway.
If I could just get Unrelenting Force and Dragonrend without any main story stuff, I'd never touch the main quest ever again.

Fond memories of all the games, but I admit I would only sink serious time into replaying (modded) Morrowind or Skyrim, or possibly a stand alone Shivering Isles run.

It's about time someone put Skyrim in it's rightful place. It's a great game that I love to play all the time by my God, Lord Dagoth Ur of The Sixth House and Tribe Unmourned is it ever painfully average compared to it's greater predecessors. In my mind Oblivion is a Low S, High A but regarding all of it's flaws, I'm just glad it made A Tier.
Morrowind is absolutely my favorite Elder scrolls game.

What you have to do to get the last piece of the staff of chaos is go to the Red Mountain but in 3E 389 when Arena takes place it's then called Dagoth Ur
At the end of the dungeon crawl you have to answer some riddle to get the last piece of the staff
It's unknown who or exactly what is asking the riddle however, some speculate it's Dagoth Ur himself but I personally highly doubt it
The ghost fence to contain Dagoth Ur hadn't been set up by the tribunal until 3E 400 , but who knows with Bethesda these days
They like to rewrite lore for weird reasons such as in Elder Scrolls Online where they have Dagoth Ur wake up in 2E 288

The remade Morrowind engine is less known because it's less necessary. Personally, I've never used it because it doesn't work with the script extender.

Honestly the Elder Scrolls 6 is up there with Half-Life 3 and Bloodborne remastered in terms of demand from their respective communities. However, your still not going to get them even though you are telling the developers to just take your money already.

Although Morrowind isn't ported to Unity it is ported to an open source modern engine called OpenMW.
oblivion still is my no.1 but you cant go wrong with either morrowind, oblivon or skyrim anniversary edition on top tier

This may be heresy but I would switch arena and Daggerfall as the simplicity of arena is far more charming and enjoyable than the failed complexity of Daggerfall where it attempts to have depth but results in just having dozens of mechanics that do sweet fa. To be fair to Daggerfall though it did make the lore of the world far more interesting with the introduction of barbed khajit penis

Morrowind and Skyrim have literally the same story.
An ancient evil (alduin, dagoth ur) returns and with him the land is in chaos (Dragons returning, the blight). Only the second coming of a cultural hero (The Dragonborn, Nerevar) blessed by a God (Shor, Azura) can stop him, because they wield a power only they posses (Shouts and words of power, The curse of flesh and Moon-and-star). To defeat them, the hero joins forces with an ancient being that was once involved with the ancient evil (Vivec, Paarthunax) and their antagonistic force (The Dissident priests, the Blades). The hero learns of an ancient tool or power to defeat the evil (Kagrenac tools, Dragonrend) and defeats the evil being, freeing the land. Besides, the locals are struggling with the empire for religious reasons, and you can choose whether to join them or antagonize them (Join the Legion or the Temple, Join the Legion or the Stormcloacks).

@@plugshirt1762 No, it is not the definition of generic. Unoriginal from bethesda side? yes. But considering the story itself, it's not generic. There aren't many stories out there with that formula. If people's complaint were more "Skyrim is copying morrowind!" and less "Skyrim story is just bad! Morrowind is good!" I would understand it, but it's not like that.
@@akai4942 yeah that’s the point it’s a rehash of the story in morrowind in many ways but just done far worse. It’s similar to how fallout 4 tried to be like new Vegas with the first half following a guy you hate before choosing between four factions. They only get the superficial parts to be the same but then have the writing be far inferior. I wouldn’t say the writing in Skyrim is nearly as bad as fallout 4 as Skyrim does have decent writing it just isn’t the same quality as morrowind in that regard

Lord Dagoth, I can't help but disagree with your placement of the Skyrims. It shouldn't be next to the glory that is morrowind. I think the TBI you got effected your judgement. Any version of Skyrim cannot be higher than B. I would argue anniversary should be in F for filthy n'wah because the filthy n'wahs at bethesda thought we would be satisfied with another fucking rerelease, but do nothing for morrowind's 20th anniveesary. They do not honor the 6th house and the tribe unmourned, lord dagoth.

Dagoth Ur, you forgot about 1 Major annoying Feature in All Versions of Skyrim.
The Cities/Towns/Villages getting Attacked by literally Everything! From Dragons to Vampires, these are so fucking Annoying when you Fast Travel to a City or Village to sell all your Crap and you are Over Encumbered with it AND the People who you need to Sell the Crap to get Fucking Killed because Fuck the Player and the Guards who are attacking the Threat, nope just kill the Random NPCs walking around!
I don't get why Everything had to be so Fucking Hyper Aggressive that the Townsfolk and your Horse has to Charge into Battle against an Attacking Threat, even some Draugr come pay a Visit sometimes too! It's just so Fucking Annoying! And then you have to Reload just so there's a Chance that Nothing Happens!
Also why do some of the Holds not even have Proper Walls? I'm talking about Dawnstar, Morthal, Falkreath, and Winterhold. Plus the Jarl's Longhouse is pretty Lame and Mediocre. At least in Cyrodiil each City had Walls and a Castle for the Lord or Lady of that Area, but Skyrim is just Lackluster. Whiterun doesn't even Fix it's Shambling Walls. You'd think that with a War going on, Fixing the Walls would have been a Priority given the fact that Whiterun is apart of the Civil War Questline.
Also in Oblivion, the Cities seemed Bigger and well Populated with a lot of NPCs but Skyrim again seems to be lacking that Scale, Towns seem Congested and Small and there's not a lot of NPCs to fill it. I'm referring to the Base Game, Vanilla Skyrim.
What a Grand and Intoxicating Innocence, what a Grand Illusion of Bullshit that the World feels More Populated. Outside of the Cities, Skyrim has the same Population of Enemies and Creatures as Oblivion. Everything is way too Sparse, way to Empty for a World like Skyrim. There are these Lame Ass "Random Enounter" Spawn Areas too. They couldn't make the Whole World, except for Cities and Towns, a Huge Spawn Area?
I'd have put Oblivion up a bit higher. Given the times and over-all content, expansions included (The Shivering Isles being so beloved), I think it at least should sit in the S-tier slot, if not swapping places with the best Skyrim edition. But, well, that's just me. I would say the general consensus it that Morrowind was an absolute masterwork for it's time and a definer of the genera and era, Oblivion and Skyrim were pretty solid later attempts to rec-capture lightning in a bottle and were "good" but are bolstered by more modern tech and the fan base expecting the O.G. funk.

I couldn't get into oblivion the scalling was just really bad melee builds just felt really weak especially on higher difficulty and when enemies get better gear cough cough daedric and glass

I cannot agree with ranking anniversary edition as S tier. How insane is it that Bethesda had to sell us Skyrim 3 times just to finally get a version that was standalone and didn't require mods to make it stable? To add insult to injury, thanks to being owned by Microsoft the new version now actively breaks mods on a routine basis and forced modders to have to constantly be spending time that could otherwise go to improving or making new mods constantly updating their mods to play nice with microsofts monthly updates. They used modders to carry their game for nearly a decade and sold it to us three times before finally giving us a complete functional version and actively kick modders off the ladder in the process and we reward them by giving their third release of the same game an s rank? Bethesda does not deserve that s rank and this video dishonours the sixth house and the tribe unmourned.
Morrowind earned it's ranking, the tenth year rerelease of Skyrim did nothing but cannibalize its own fan base and then spit on them to get to where it is.

Yeah modders 'fixed' Skyrim. . .right up to the point all the fun and interesting exploits and bugs also got 'fixed'.
And Skyrim Anniversary Edition should be Shouted Off The Mountain Top Tier. Unless you know how to work Creation Club's download system then you end up with a dragon's crap ton worth of forced quests that clogs up the quest list, more useless equipment, a ton of player homes that individually lack something that should be in every large house like a trophy room. And let's not forget a growing white hot hatred toward the courier that's only rivaled by that other courier's white hot hatred toward the guy who shot him/her twice in the head. The only good things about AE are the spell pack, backpacks(just the free carry weight), and better crossbows. All the other crap can be found with regular and FREE mods.
Oh and the number of bugs AE fixes is Zero, Nadda, and Ziltch!
I liked the new necromancer robes in AE quite a bit.
